    摘要: A spindle apparatus of a machine tool comprises a main spindle rotatably supported in a housing via bearings. A helium circulation system is provided for introducing helium, lower in density and fluid pressure than air, through a helium supply port into a gap on the outer periphery of the main spindle within the housing, and for discharging helium to the outside through a helium discharge port. The main spindle is rotated in an atmosphere of the helium. The spindle apparatus is simple in structure, but can minimize the power loss of the main spindle and reduce the motor power, and also gives a cooling effect.

    摘要: A rolling method and machine provides for decreasing the rolling load of work rolls of a rolling mill for a given reduction ratio achieved thereby. A pair of pinch rolls upstream of the work rolls have projections that form a large number of recesses in one or both surfaces of a metal workpiece. A lubricating agent is forced into the recesses in the region of contact between the workpiece and the work rolls. As a result, when the workpiece is rolled by the work rolls the lubricating agent is retained in the recesses such that the recesses progressively are flattened, thereby causing the lubricating agent to form a boundary film between the portion of the workpiece being rolled and the work rolls. The recesses are controlled to regulate the dimension of the length of each recess in the direction of rolling of the workpiece, to regulate the inclination of front and rear walls of each recess, and to regulate the total area of the recesses relative to the total surface area of the workpiece.

    摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide: a spindle inclination detector capable of surely detecting spindle inclination with a simple configuration; and a machine tool including the spindle inclination detector. Spindle inclination detectors (41A, 41B) are equipped in columns (32A, 32B) of a portal bridge (24) of a machine tool (21). Each spindle inclination detector includes: a string (43) which hangs vertically with an upper end fixed to the column (reinforcement (32b)) and a lower end attached to a weight (45); a gap sensor (44) which is attached to the string to measure a distance to a front face plate (32a) of the column; and an oil damper (46). Moreover, a spindle inclination correction controller provided to the machine tool controls a Peltier device (42A,42B) attached to a rear face plate (32d) of the column, on a basis of an average distance measured by the gap sensor, and thus corrects an inclination of a spindle (28) due to the thermal deformation of the column by correcting thermal deformation of the column.

    摘要: An object is to provide a printing apparatus or the like that improves printing accuracy when a carriage moves back and forth for printing. A block 51 on a block surface plate is mounted on the block surface plate at a predetermined location. On the other hand, a substrate 54 on a print surface plate is mounted at a location corresponding to the location of the block 51, that is, a location where a picture transfer is desirably received from a blanket cylinder 13. With such an arrangement, at the same location immediately below the blanket cylinder 13 on the same track 30, even when the straightness of the rail 30 is not sufficient, the block 51 and the glass substrate 54 take the same position at the location, and thus print misalignment can be prevented.
