摘要: A fansink arrangement for a laptop computer wherein two distinct patterns of air intake can be employed. Particularly, dual air intakes of the laptop can be managed and controlled depending upon an operating mode of the computer. Thus, when the computer is in a “stand alone” mode, only one air intake is employed while in a “docking” mode of the computer two air intakes are employed.

摘要: The present invention provides a newly constituted liquid crystal display element incorporating a touch sensor unit. In a liquid crystal display element where a liquid crystal layer is inserted between a first substrate and a second substrate, a display electrode for displaying an image and a touch electrode for detecting a touch position are provided on the surfaces of the first substrate and the second substrate opposing with each other. The display electrode may be used as the touch electrode. A pillar-shaped spacer may be formed to support the first substrate and the second substrate. Additionally, the touch electrode may be provided on a convex-shaped part formed on the substrate.

摘要: A vapor chamber, in which a condensable fluid, which evaporates and condenses depending on a state of input and radiation of a heat, is encapsulated in a hollow and flat sealed receptacle as a liquid phase working fluid; and in which the wick for creating the capillary pressure by moistening by the working fluid is arranged in said sealed receptacle, comprising: a wick for creating a great capillary pressure by being moistened by said working fluid, which is arranged on the evaporating part side where the heat is input from outside; and a wick having a small flow resistance against the moistening working fluid, which is arranged on the condensing part side where the heat is radiated to outside.

摘要: A heat pipe wherein a condensable liquid phase working fluid is encapsulated in a container sealed in air-tight condition; wherein the wick composed of the porous body for refluxing the liquid phase working fluid by a capillary pressure is provided in the container; wherein a part of the container functions as an evaporating part for evaporating the working fluid by means of inputting the heat from outside; and wherein another part of the container functions as a condensing part for condensing a vapor of the working fluid by means of radiating the heat to the outside; comprises a direct reflux flow passage for flowing the liquid phase working fluid to the evaporating part, which has a flow cross-sectional area greater than that of a cavity formed in the porous body.

摘要: A sidelight type light source device increases the quantity of light in a corner portion of a light guide plate at low cost while meeting a demand for picture frame narrowing. An incident surface receives light from a stick-shaped light source. The incident surface includes a first incident surface its center a pair or second incident surfaces at the ends of the first incident surface. The second incident surfaces are formed on a corner portion in a width direction of the light guide plate. The second incident surfaces are set back from the first incident surface taken as a reference. Accordingly, a light introducing route is defined between the second incident surface and rubber blocks at the ends of a fluorescent light source. Light from the fluorescent lamp passes along the light introducing route where it is directly incident on the second incident surfaces of the light guide plate.
