摘要： The present invention relates to softening compounds; stable, homogeneous, preferably concentrated, aqueous liquid and solid textile treatment compositions; and intermediate compositions and/or processes for making said compositions.The compositions of the present invention contain diester quaternary ammonium compounds wherein the fatty acyl groups have an Iodine Value of from greater than about 5 to less than about 100, a cis/trans isomer weight ratio of greater than about 30/70 when the Iodine Value is less than about 25, the level of unsaturation being less than about 65% by weight, wherein said compounds are capable of forming concentrated aqueous compositions with concentrations greater than about 13% by weight at an Iodine Value of greater than about 10 without viscosity modifiers other than normal polar organic solvents present in the raw material of the compound or added electrolyte.

摘要： The present invention relates to stable, homogeneous, preferably concentrated, aqueous liquid textile treatment compositions that contain biodegradable diester quaternary ammonium compounds of the formula: ##STR1## wherein each Q is --O--(O)C-- or --C(O)--O--;n is 1 to 4;each R.sup.1 substituent is a short chain C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl group, benzyl group or mixtures thereof;each R.sup.2 is a long chain C.sub.11 -C.sub.21 hydrocarbyl, or substituted hydrocarbyl substituent and the counterion,X.sup.-, can be any softener-compatible anion; wherein the biodegradable quaternary ammonium fabric softening compound is derived from C.sub.11 -C.sub.21 fatty acyl groups having an Iodine Value of from greater than about 5 to less than about 100, a cis/trans isomer weight ratio of greater than about 30/70 when the Iodine Value is less than about 25, the level of unsaturation of the fatty acyl groups is less than about 65% by weight, the aqueous compositions being stable without nonionic viscosity modifiers when the concentration is less than or equal to 13%.

摘要： Rinse-added fabric softening compositions are provided comprising mixtures of a diester quaternary ammonium fabric softener material, a highly ethoxylated hydrophobic material as a scum dispersant, and a liquid carrier. This mixture prevents the formation of scum caused by the interaction of the diester quaternary ammonium fabric softener material with anionic detergent surfactant and/or detergency builder entrapped in the fabric. These, preferably biodegradable, compositions have good product stability, dispersibility, and concentratability, as well as excellent fabric softening characteristics.

摘要： The present invention relates to a wrinkle reducing composition for use on fabrics, particularly clothing. The composition comprises a wrinkle reducing active, which is made up of an effective amount of silicone and an effective amount of film-forming polymer, and a liquid carrier. The composition is substantially free of starch, modified starch, and mixtures thereof, and results a Loss Modulus Difference of greater than about 3.3.times.10.sup.7 Pascal on fabric.The composition can be incorporated into a spray dispenser that can create an article of manufacture than can facilitate treatment of fabric with the wrinkle reducing composition. The wrinkle reducing actives in the composition can be determined through Dynamic Mechanical Analysis using a 100% cotton broadcloth swatch and a fixed volume of a sample of wrinkle reducing active.

摘要： Compositions are disclosed containing fabric softener compound having two hydrophobic groups attached to the remainder of the compound through ester linkages (DEQA), said compositions being concentrated and containing viscosity/dispersibility modifiers which are single long chain cationic surfactants, highly ethoxylated nonionic surfactants and/or mixtures thereof. Premixes of the DEQA and viscosity modifiers to lower the viscosity of the molten DEQA are disclosed. Processes for making aqueous liquid compositions from solid particulate compositions containing the DEQA are also disclosed.

摘要： Liquid fabric softening compositions for use in a rinse bath after washing fabrics with a detergent. The softening compositions contain (a) the reaction products of higher fatty acids with a polyamine selected from the group consisting of hydroxyalkylalkylenediamines and dialkylenetriamines and mixtures thereof, (b) cationic nitrogenous salts having only one long chain acyclic aliphatic hydrocarbon group, and optionally (c) cationic nitrogenous salts having two or more long chain acyclic aliphatic hydrocarbon groups or one said group and an arylalkyl group; these compositions provide good softening performance across major types of detergents.

摘要： Liquid fabric softening compositions for use in a rinse bath after washing fabrics with a detergent. The softening compositions contain certain specific oil-soluble light-stable red dyes and pigments as colorants at levels which provide a pink color. The colorants are difficult to incorporate and require better mixing than water-soluble dyes.
