    摘要： The waterwheel powered air delivery device is a system for powering an air compressor, aerator, or other device that moves air from power produced by a waterwheel without the necessity of providing electricity from an outside power source or the intermediate production of electricity from the waterwheel. The waterwheel may be an overshot, undershot or sideshot waterwheel. The device being powered may be an air compressor, aerator, or other air delivery device having an air pump that may be of the diaphragm, piston, rotary vane, rotary screw or other type. Preferably the air produced by the waterwheel and air delivery device is used for aeration of wastewater, although the delivery device may be used for other purposes, e.g., ventilation, power, etc.

    摘要： A smoke detector that operates on the principle of scattered light is disclosed that has the capability of an operating sensitivity that is tens of times greater than that of smoke detectors presently available. Plural light sources are used, their light rays directed radially toward the center of a cylindrical detector chamber having a mirrored wall that reflects light back toward the chamber's center, thereby to brightly illuminate a central detection zone. Scattered light from smoke in this zone is detectable by a photocell at right angles to the converging multiple light rays. To obtain highly improved stability of the light output that enables ultra-high sensitivity, the light sources are light-emitting diodes in series connection and they are driven by a very stable constant voltage source that also powers the photocell detector. This system gains impressive sensitivity while reducing nuisance alarms that have been a common problem regarding efforts to increase smoke detector sensitivity. Whereas the goal of this invention is to improve the public safety, improvements are presented in smoke collection also, whereby ambient air is quickly and efficiently brought to the detector cell itself using convection currents that are enhanced by the aerodynamic design of the housing surrounding the cell.

    摘要： Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a combination strapping package and dispenser that includes a first strapping coil holding compartment and a second strapping coil holding compartment configured to be nested together and to define a coil receiving or holding area. The combination strapping package and dispenser is configured to hold a strapping coil during shipment from the manufacturer or distributor to the end user and additionally during the use of the strapping by the end user such that the end user does not need to remove the strapping coil from the combination strapping package and dispenser. In certain embodiments, the combination strapping package and dispenser of the present disclosure is configured for mid-range amounts of coil which are easier to transport and use, is compostable, and requires less cost to ship.
