    摘要： A counterbalance mechanism for height adjustable computer equipment supports and the like that includes a drive shaft mounted on an associated support for axial rotation. The drive shaft is operably connected with a worksurface to facilitate vertical adjustment of the same within a predetermined range. The counterbalance mechanism has a first energy storage device operably connected between the support and the drive shaft, which applies a first axial torque to the drive shaft in a first rotational direction. The first energy storage device is configured such that the first axial torque diminishes at a predetermined rate as the drive shaft rotates in the first rotational direction. A second energy storage device is operably connected between the support and the drive shaft, and applies a second axial torque to the drive shaft in a second rotational direction, opposite to the first rotational direction, thereby defining a resultant counterbalance force which facilitates vertical adjustment of the worksurface. The second energy storage device is configured such that when the drive shaft rotates in the first rotational direction, the second axial torque diminishes at a rate which is substantially equal to the predetermined rate of the first energy storage device, whereby the resultant counterbalance force remains generally constant throughout the predetermined range of vertical adjustment of the worksurface.

    摘要： A telephone indicator system includes a telephone having a base and a handset. The telephone includes a cradle disposed on the base configured to receive the handset. The system also includes an indicator disposed on an least two elevated surfaces of the telephone to notify a user of a telephone message. The indicator may be disposed on at least two elevated surfaces of the handset. The system may also include another indicator disposed in the cradle of the telephone to notify the user of another telephone message while the handset is in use.

The telephone system also includes an actuator coupled to the support to effect movement of the support relative to the base. The telephone system may also include one or more add-on line modules. Each add-on line module may include a support operable to dispose each add-on line module in a plurality of positions relative to the support surface. Each add-on line module may also include an actuator to effect movement of each add-on line module support. The actuator disposed on each add-on line module may also effect movement of other supports.

    摘要： A component has a support with a stiff section and a flexible section. An incompressible resilient material, such as a gel, is supported on the flexible section. In one form, the component forms an armrest, with the support including upper and lower sections forming a loop. The upper section bridges between ends of the lower section and includes the flexible section, and a section of gel material is positioned on or molded onto the flexible section. In the armrest, the incompressible resilient material is sufficiently thick and resilient to comfortably support a person's forearm on the support yet further is sufficiently flowable and stretchable to at least partially move off a rib on the support and into the non-supporting areas when pressure is applied to the incompressible resilient material.

    摘要： An automatic injection apparatus including a delay mechanism for properly delivering medication prior to the needled syringe of the apparatus being retracted. In one form, the delay mechanism includes a shuttle (170) for the syringe, a follower (250), a locking member, a damping compound between the follower and a supporting surface (308) to dampen rotation of the follower relative to the shuttle, and a dual functioning biasing member (290) acting between the shuttle and the follower. When the locking member moves to a release position during an injection, the dual functioning biasing member first provides a torsional force to force the follower to rotate relative to the shuttle from a latching position to an unlatching position, and then the dual functioning biasing member provides an axial force to force the shuttle axially relative to the follower to move the shuttle for retracting the syringe needle into the housing of the apparatus after injection.
