摘要: An injection device, method, and system for drug delivery includes a primary container for storing a drug, the container having a stopper movably disposed in the container for expelling the drug, an injection drive mechanism comprising a plunger for acting on the stopper and an energy source for exerting a force on the plunger to cause the plunger to act on the stopper to expel the drug, the force causing the plunger to accelerate to a velocity prior to acting on the stopper, and a damping mechanism for reducing the velocity of the plunger prior to acting on the stopper. The damping mechanism can include a dashpot or an energy absorbing material associated with the plunger. Alternatively or additionally, the damping mechanisms can include absorbing material disposed between support members of an outer casing of the injection device and the primary container.

摘要: An auto injector is provided by which a fixed dose of a medicament can be injected as self-treatment, and by which needle exposure to an accessible position, injection of the medicament and retraction of the needle to an inaccessible position is automatically performed as a continuous sequence, after the auto injector is triggered. Solutions to improve the functionality of the retraction of the needle and the general experience of the use, are also provided.

摘要: A puller assembly for removing a shield from around a needle of a syringe. The puller assembly includes a grip component and a cap. The grip component has a tubular body defining an interior hollow which axially receives the shield. The tubular body has a slit that allows it to be forcibly shifted from a first arrangement to a second arrangement to change the size of the interior hollow. The tubular body includes a radial inner face with at least one radial inward projection for directly engaging the shield. The cap is grippable by a user. The grip component is held by the cap when inserted within a cavity of the cap during manufacturing installation, and when so held at least one radial inward projection of the grip component engages the shield for removal of the shield from around the needle when the cap is moved. A method of mounting a puller assembly to a shield around a needle is also disclosed.

摘要: A multi-chamber syringe for delivering a plurality of fluids to a central venous catheter includes a barrel and a plunger. The barrel includes a plurality of chambers, and a first one of the plurality of chambers has a predefined volume of a saline flush stored therein. Actuation of the plunger causes the predefined volume of the saline flush to be dispensed from the barrel into the central venous catheter.
