摘要: An apparatus in which a plurality of developer rollers develop a latent image recorded on a flexible photoconductive member. The photoconductive belt is deflected by the developer material to wrap around at least a portion of the first two developer rollers forming wrapped development zones. The last developer roller may either have the photoconductive belt wrapped about a portion thereof, or the photoconductive belt may remain in an undeflected condition. The developer rollers having the photoconductive belt wrapped thereabout rotate in opposite directions. A blanket of developer material is formed between the last two developer rollers. An apparatus of this type optimizes development of the latent image recorded on the photoconductive member.

摘要: A method and apparatus for preventing ghosting defect, which appears as a lightened ghost image of a previously developed image in a halftone or solid. The defect is due to the different characteristics of the toner that has been reloaded into the recently detoned areas of the donor roll from that toner which has remained on the donor and passed through the reload nip a number of times. A developer unit for developing a latent image recorded on an image receiving member with marking particles, to form a developed image, comprising: means for moving the surface of the image receiving member at a predetermined process speed. A donor member is spaced from the image receiving member and adapted to transport marking particles to a development zone adjacent the image receiving member. A housing is provided defining a chamber storing a supply of developer material comprising toner. The donor member is biased to a first predefined potential. A magnetic brush loads a toner layer onto a region of said donor member; and a charging device charges said toner layer loaded on the region of said donor member to a second predefine potential and wherein said first potential substantially equal said second potential.

摘要: In a highlight color imaging method and apparatus, the charging level of a scorotron used for charge neutralizing an already developed image is controlled by using the bias voltage of a second developer housing as a reference voltage for the the grid of the scorotron. The bias voltage applied to the scorotron is offset a predetermined amount from the bias voltage of the second developer housing.

摘要: Automatic horn warning signal apparatus for use on boats is compact, unitary, self-contained, lightweight, drycell-battery-energized, is manually selectably actuated for automatically sounding any of nine predetermined patterns of warning horn signal sequences applicable to specified, recognized navigational procedures for marine craft. A small motor operates through a first speed-reducing, torque-increasing transmission for rotating a main cam shaft containing nine lobed cams each having a different configuration corresponding to the desired warning signal pattern to be sounded. A control lever is engageable with any of the nine cams for selecting the desired automatically sounded horn signal sequence. A second speed-reducing, torque-increasing transmission rotates a latching cam shaft at one-tenth the rate of the main cam shaft for operating a latch for enabling a pivot bar to serve as fulcrum for the control lever. For causing the control lever to actuate a valve for releasing pulses of compressed gas into the horn for sounding the selected warning signal sequence determined by a particular cam. The signal pattern is sounded only once during each revolution of the latching cam. When any of four signal sequences has been selected, pressing a start button causes repeated sounding of the selected signal sequence. Selecting the other five warning sequences opens the repeat switch, causing only one sounding of the signal sequence after pressing the start button. Manually depressing the horn immediately sounds a continuous blast as long as depressed.
