    摘要: An adhesive-spreading unit includes a set of rollers, each of which rotates at a higher speed than the preceding one, the first roller being in contact with a tank of adhesive and the last roller sliding in contact with a film on which the adhesive is to be deposited. The unit also includes devices for distancing the rollers from one another and bring them into contact when the film has been loaded into a machine, and a single actuator unit for moving the rollers. The actuator, during the first stage of its travel, brings a rubber-clad roller into contact with the first roller, and during the second part of its travel moves the two rollers to bring the rubber-covered roller into contact with a third roller, which transfers the adhesive to the film and vice versa.

The method includes unwinding from pay-off units layers of the film and guiding them into a spreader/applicator units designed to apply an adhesive material to one side of the layers and feeding them to a bonding zone (1), bonding together the layers in the bonding zone, by winding them over a first bonding calender (18), along a contact arc on the surface of said calender. The method is characterized by determining the breadth of said contact arc by rotating a nip onto which the presser roller (19) is mounted, so as to vary the position of the point of contact between a presser roller (19) and the surface of said bonding calender (18). The bonded film is then taken up.

    摘要: An adhesive take-up, metering and spreading unit, for bonding machines is truck-mounted so that it can be replaced without having to interrupt the operation of the plant, includes a plurality of rollers arranged in series, wherein a first rubber-clad roller takes up adhesive from a reservoir and transfers it to an anilox roller, from which the adhesive is taken up by a second rubber-clad roller, which transfers it to a film to be bonded. Each roller rotates at a higher speed than the preceding one, and the unit is fitted with members that regulate the distance between the rollers, and consequently the pressure that each rubber-clad roller exerts on the anilox roller, in order to meter the precise quantity of adhesive taken up and spread on the film. This characteristic allows even special adhesives, whose application is particularly difficult due to their viscosity characteristics, to be precisely spread and metered.

Each of the films to be bonded is fed to one of the zones formed between the drum (2) and said spreader/applicator units (3, 4, 5), where it receives a layer of adhesive and is then joined to the film fed to the next zone. The machine can be set up to produce a single film consisting of different layers, and also to make two films each consisting of two layers bonded to one another, or a three-ply film wherein the films can be made of different materials.
