Abstract: Methods, systems and devices for generating an authentication key are provided. Two or more communications devices can generate an authentication key by monitoring a physical stimulus that is experienced by both devices (e.g., a common physical stimulus). Each device can then use an identical, predetermined algorithm to generate a common authentication key based on the stimulus. The devices can use the common authentication key to establish a secure network.

Abstract: An accessory device is described. The accessory device may include a base region and sidewalls that combine with the base region to secure an electronic device with the accessory device. The accessory device may include a rigid layer having openings in at least some corners of the rigid layer. In order to facilitate insertion and extraction of the electronic device, an elastic material disposed in the openings may join with two sidewalls at the corners, allowing the sidewalls to move or bend with respect to other sidewalls. The accessory device may include a protective layer embedded in a sidewall to provide support to an opening formed in the sidewall. The sidewall may include a protrusion supported by features embedded in sidewall to facilitate pressing the protruding feature, which corresponds to pressing a button of the electronic device.

Abstract: Cowlings described herein for board-to-board connectors can provide high stiffness, low weight, and low total cost. Such cowlings can provide ribs with increased thickness for targeted stiffness to resist bowing in a given direction. The layers of the cowlings can include carbon fiber extending in directions parallel to the ribs in some layers and transverse to the ribs in other layers. The layers can be formed together within a mold tool that shapes the fibers into the ribs.

Abstract: A head-mounted device can be operated with another device and/or object for which information is gathered to facilitate visual display of a representation thereof. Abstract: Systems of the present disclosure can provide head-mountable devices with different input and output capabilities. Such differences can lead the head-mountable devices to provide the corresponding users with somewhat different experiences despite operating in a shared environment. Abstract: A system can include head-mounted devices that collaborate to process views from cameras of the respective head-mounted devices and identify objects from different perspectives and/or objects that are within the view of only one of the head-mounted devices. Sharing sensory input between multiple head-mounted devices can complement and enhance individual units by interpreting and reconstructing objects, surfaces, and/or an external environment with perceptive data from multiple angles and positions, which also reduces occlusions and inaccuracies. As more detailed information is available at a specific moment in time, the speed and accuracy of object recognition, hand and body tracking, surface mapping, and/or digital reconstruction can be improved. Such collaboration can provide more effective and efficient mapping of space, surfaces, objects, gestures and users.
