Abstract: Systems and methods of providing a management data analytics service are described. After receiving a request for a management data analytical KPI, the MDAS producer determines from which of network objects to collect the performance measurements to generate the management analytical data. The network objects include an NF, NSI, NSSI, subnetwork or the network. Performance data is collected for a past period and management analytical data generated based on the collected performance data. The KPI for a future period related to the past period is determined. The KPI is to predict uplink or downlink traffic volume or resource utilization associated with the network object.

Abstract: Embodiments of systems and techniques are described for determining inter-radio access technology (inter-RAT) coverage for energy saving management (ESM). In some embodiments, a network management (NM) apparatus may determine that a source cell of a network of a first RAT is triggered to activate an energy saving state and that the source cell is partially overlapped by each of a plurality of cells of one or more networks of one or more RATs different from the first RAT. The NM apparatus may instruct the source cell to activate the energy saving state when a combination of the plurality of cells provides coverage of the source cell. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

Abstract: Some embodiments of this disclosure include apparatuses and methods for identifying performance measurements for registration and handovers for user equipment (UE) and wireless network nodes. A service producer system may register a first wireless communication connection with a first UE using one or more access and mobility management functions (AMFs). The service producer system may monitor registration measurements corresponding to this registration, perform a handover for the first UE using the one or more AMFs, and monitor mobility measurements corresponding to the handover. The service producer system may select a node for a second wireless communication connection corresponding to a second UE based on the registration measurements and mobility measurements and transmit an indication of the selected node to the second UE. The measurements may include a number of requests, successful requests, measurements related protocol data unit (PDU) sessions, and measurements related to Quality of Service (QoS) flows.

Abstract: A wireless communication management system is disclosed for use in a Third Generation Partnership Program (3GPP) wireless communication environment. The management system supports edge computing by assisting with the locating and/or deployment of a satisfactory user plane function near the requesting device. Specifically, the management system receives a request from an edge computing management system to provide information of a user plane function to which the edge computing related resources in a local data network can be connected. The management system then selects a satisfactory user plane function, or if none can be found, deploys a new user plane function. The management system then provides the information of the selected or deployed user plane function for use in edge computing to the edge computing management system.

Abstract: Briefly, in accordance with one or more embodiments, virtualized network function resources may be managed in a network. Performance measurements may be received for at least one mobility management entity (MME) in an MME pool, or for other network elements. If at least one of the performance measurements exceeds at least one predetermined threshold, instantiation of a new mobility management entity virtual network function (MME VNF) may be requested, and the MME VNF may be instantiated in response to the request. One or more user equipment (UE) devices managed by the MME pool may be connected to the added MME VNF.
