摘要: A system and method for reducing the transient responses in a phase lock loop (PLL) (100) with variable oscillator gain is disclosed. The system includes a charge pump (104) having an adapt mode and a normal mode of operation. The charge pump (104) also includes controlled trickle currents from current sources (208), (210) which are applied to the output (105), (107) of charge pump (104) to minimize the transient responses of the PLL (100). A programmable delay is provided in the charge pump (104) and is configured using a controller (122) based on the variable oscillator gain for the PLL (100). The configured programmable delay is used in the adapt mode of operation for adding a trickle current from the current source (210) to the adapt mode output (107).

摘要: An integrated sigma-delta radio frequency (RF) receiver subsystem (200) and method utilizes a multi-mode sigma-delta analog-to-digital converter (215) for providing a single and multi-bit output. A programmable decimation network (221) for reducing the frequency of the in-phase and quadrature bit stream and a programmable formatting network (223) are also used for organizing the in-phase and quadrature components from the decimation network (221) for subsequent signal processing. The invention offers a highly integrated digital/analog RF receiver back-end which incorporates integrated filtering and a smart gain control that is compatible for use with other receiver systems and offering superior performance characteristics.

摘要: A singled-sided sustain voltage generator provides a 0 to 200 volt swing using only four 100 volt FET's. The output of the circuit is applied to one side of the display panel, the other side being applied to ground potential. The circuit can provide either a 200 volt peak-to-peak square wave, or a return to midpoint waveform by selectively controlling the four FET's.

摘要: A filter system for removing contaminants from oil based industrial liquids and the like includes a support tube with a permeable sidewall through which the industrial liquid flows in an inside out direction. A multilayer coalescence media surrounds the support tube, and includes at least one layer of a non-woven fibrous material that is partially wettable by the dispersed water in the industrial liquid, and commences coalescence of the same to form small primary water droplets, and at least one sheet of a precisely woven monofilament fabric stacked on the downstream side of the non-woven material. The woven fabric is substantially wettable by the dispersed water, and has a fixed open mesh with uniformly sized and spaced apart pore openings which continue to coalesce the primary water droplets into large water drops which fall from the filter for collection along the bottom of the apparatus.

摘要: A test panel and process of preparing a test panel for evaluating the performance of inspection penetrants by inducing cracks into a brittle coating. The process includes drilling one or more holes from the back side of a test plate which has been plated on a plated side. The holes are drilled partway through the test plate and create cavities. A penetrating tool which has a point is inserted into a cavity and the point is pressed in a slow measured manner from the back side of the panel which has a brittle plated coating on the front side to be cracked. The result is a series of cracks formed in an area opposite the area of the cavity.

摘要: A test panel and process of preparing a test panel for evaluating the performance of inspection penetrants by inducing cracks into a brittle coating. The process utilizes a penetrating tool which has a point which is pressed in a slow measured manner into the back side of the panel which has a brittle coating on the front side to be cracked. The position of the pointed tool is carefully measured in increments of 0.05″ or smaller. The tool is driven to a depth to obtain the desired crack size, depending on the brittle coating's characteristics.
