摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a mechanism for handling a handover in a more efficient way. The invention relates to a method in a mobility controller (180) in a radio access network for preparing a handover. The method comprises the following steps to be taken during data transmission between a mobile terminal (140) and a source base station (120), before the handover: Sending a request to a candidate base station (122), which request aims at measuring and reporting timing alignment to be used by the mobile terminal (140) when communicating with the destination base station (122) after the handover, if the candidate base station becomes the destination base station (122) after the handover; receiving a report from the destination base station (122) comprising said requested timing alignment; and when the destination base station (122) is selected among the at least one candidate base stations, sending a message to the mobile terminal (140) to use said timing alignment received from the destination base station (122) when communicating with the destination base station (122) after the handover.

摘要: In one aspect of the disclosed teachings, associating a plurality of contention-based uplink grants with a range of uplink resource blocks allows one contention-based uplink grant message to signal the entire plurality of grants. As an example in the LTE context, the signaling load on the PDCCH is reduced by using a single contention-based uplink grant message to signal a plurality of contention-based uplink grants. The message indicates an allocated set of uplink resource blocks and the number of separate uplink resource grants represented by the set is known or signaled, such that user terminals recognize that separate subsets of uplink resource blocks within the set each correspond to a separate contention-based uplink grant. Information included in the contention-based uplink grant message, or otherwise signaled can be used to control the probability at which the user terminals attempt contention-based uplink transmissions and/or to control the MCS used for such transmissions.

摘要: An Uplink control channel resource Management Module (120, 130), referred to as “UMM”, and a method in the UMM for assigning, to a radio network node 110, uplink control channel resources, referred to as “UCCHR”, for use in a uplink control channel between the radio network node (110) and a communication device (160) are provided. The UMM obtains (210) resource allocation information, referred to as “RAI”, and generates (220) a resource allocation command, referred to as “RAC”, based on the RAI. The RAC indicates UCCHR to be used by the radio network node. Furthermore, the UMM provides (230) the RAC to the radio network node (110). Related methods and nodes to enable the UMM to assign UCCHR are also provided.

摘要: A method and mobile terminal for providing uplink scheduling information to a scheduler in a wireless telecommunication system. When a logical channel having data available to transmit triggers a buffer status report, the mobile terminal determines whether a priority level associated with the logical channel exceeds a predefined threshold. If so, the mobile terminal performs a scheduling request procedure with the scheduler. If not, the mobile terminal delays the scheduling request procedure until a predefined timing event has occurred. The predefined timing event may be at least one of expiration of a timer, a radio bearer associated with the logical channel becoming active, and if the scheduling request procedure is being performed using a contention-based random access, contention resolution succeeding for the mobile terminal.

摘要: The present invention relates to methods and arrangements for handling UE capability information a mobile telecommunications network wherein an eNodeB (100) receives (60) information regarding the UE capability information from the UE (120) and stores (70) the information. The eNodeB (100) sends (80) the UE capability information to the EPC, i.e. the MME (130). The MME (130) receives and stores (90) the UE capability information. When the UE (120) transits from idle to active state, does an initial attach or when a part of the UE capabilities have changed, it sends (10) a message Ma to the eNodeB (100) regarding the update. The eNodeB (100) receives the message and sends (20) it to the MME (130). The MME (130) sends (30) a response associated with the previously stored UE capability information to the eNodeB (100). The eNodeB (100) decides (40) if the UE capabilities stored in the MME (130) is up-to-date based on the message sent from the UE (120) and the received response from the MME (130). If the UE (120) holds updated UE capabilities the eNodeB (100) could request (50) updated UE capability information from the UE (120).

摘要: Techniques for controlling synchronous HARQ retransmissions are disclosed, in which non-adaptive retransmissions scheduled for a first transmission time interval are automatically deferred to a later transmission time interval in the event that a control message prohibiting the retransmission during the first transmission interval is received. In an exemplary method, a NACK message is received (320) in response to a previous data transmission corresponding to a stop-and-wait HARQ process, and a synchronous HARQ retransmission is scheduled (330) for a first transmission interval in response. A control message indicating that data for the stop-and-wait HARQ process may not be sent during the first transmission interval is received, and the synchronous HARQ retransmission is automatically deferred (350) to a second transmission interval, responsive to the control message. An explicit grant is not required to trigger the retransmission during the second transmission interval.

摘要: The present invention relates to methods and apparatuses (radio base station (120, 600) and UE (110, 700) for enabling a UE to perform a random access. According to embodiments of the present invention, an identification number of a dedicated random access preamble is, in a message, transmitted together with information indicating in which channel or channels the preamble is valid for the UE. The UE (110, 700) can then use the received information and based on that information perform a random access.
