Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a polyolefin composition made from or containing: A) from about 60 to about 89% by weight based upon the total weight of the polyolefin composition of a copolymer of butene-1 with ethylene having a copolymerized ethylene content of up to about 18% by mole based upon the molar composition of the copolymer, and no melting peak detectable at the DSC at the second heating scan; and B) from about 11 to about 40% by weight based upon the total weight of the polyolefin composition of an ethylene polymer having density of from about 0.900 to about 0.970 g/cm3, measured according to ISO 1183 at 23° C.; wherein the amounts of A) and B) are referred to the total weight of A)+B) and the DSC second heating scan is carried out with a heating rate of 10° C. per minute. The composition is useful for preparing gaskets.

Extruded or molded profiles comprising a polyolefin composition consisting of 85% by weight or more of a copolymer of 1-butene with ethylene (A) having an ethylene copolymerized content up to 18% by mol, and having Mw/Mn lower than 3, hardness shore A (measured according to ISO 868) lower than 90, no melting point (TmII) detectable at the DSC after cancelling the thermal history, melting enthalpy (ΔHf), measured by DSC after 10 days of aging at room temperature, comprised between 4 and 15 J/g; and up to 15% by weight of a propylene copolymer or a composition of copolymers of propylene (B) having a melting point from about 126° C. to 200° C., isotactic index greater than 90%.

(A) 25-75 wt. % of a copolymer of butene-1 with a Melt Flow Rate, measured according to ISO 1133 (190° C., 2.16 kg), higher than 1500; and (B) 75-25 wt. % of at least one additional component selected from the group consisting of waxes, resins, plasticizers, additional polymers and mixtures thereof, wherein the amounts of A) and B) are referred to the total weight of A)+B).

The present disclosure provides a polyolefin composition made from or containing: A) from about 63 to about 78% by weight of a copolymer of butene-1 with ethylene having a copolymerized ethylene content of up to about 18% by mole and no melting peak detectable at the DSC at the second heating scan; B) from about 22 to about 37% by weight of (i) a propylene homopolymer, or (ii) a propylene copolymer, or (iii) a mixture of two or more of (i) and (ii), having a melting temperature Tm, measured by DSC at the second heating scan, of from about 130° C. to about 165° C.; wherein (i) the amounts of A) and B) are referred to the total weight of A)+B) and (ii) having a melting enthalpy ΔHfus, measured by DSC at the second heating scan, of from 7 to 30 J/g.
