Abstract:
In a centrifugal rpm regulator for fuel injected internal combustion engines, a fuel quantity control rod is provided which receives the forces associated with the displacements of an adaptor sleeve which in turn is displaceable under the influence of centrifugal fly weights and as a function of engine rpm. The control rod is limited in the direction of increasing fuel supply by a control rod including a cam plate, at least one control lever through which the structure is connected to the adaptor sleeve and an abutment lever having a cam follower member at one end thereof. The control rod is connected to the abutment lever which is pivotable thereby to cause the cam follower member to abut the cam plate and limit the maximum fuel quantity delivered by the injection pump used in conjunction with the regulator for a given rpm.
Abstract:
In a centrifugal r.p.m. regulator for internal combustion engines, the governor sleeve is connected to a fuel quantity control member through a linkage assembly that includes an intermediate lever coupled to a manually operable lever to arbitrarily adjust said fuel quantity control member. The r.p.m. regulator includes a spring-loaded support arm against which the governor sleeve is adapted to abut after traveling a predetermined distance under the force exerted by the centrifugal weights as the engine r.p.m. increases. Beyond a predetermined r.p.m. the last-named force overcomes the force of the support lever spring thus permitting the governor sleeve to be further displaced, shifting thereby said control member to lessen the injected fuel quantities.
Abstract:
A video tape recorder has an erase head positioned at a predetermined distance ahead of the record/playback head along the transport path of the tape. A first additional head is energized simultaneously with the erase head to leave a mark on an auxiliary track. The mark is sensed by a second additional head spaced from the first additional head by a distance equal to the distance between the erase and record/playback heads. The sensed mark causes the record/playback head to be switched to the recording circuit thereby causing the recording to begin at the start of the taped portion erased by the erase head.
Abstract:
A centrifugal rpm regulator for internal combustion engines is provided with at least two angular, centrifugal weights. Each centrifugal weight includes an angled lever and a centrifugal mass fixedly connected to one lever arm of the angled lever. The opposite lever arm actuates a regulating sleeve. Each lever has a bearing location in the region of connection of its two lever arms by means of which the centrifugal weights are pivotally mounted on a centrifugal weight carrier. The lever arm to which its centrifugal mass is connected has an irregular shape. The centrifugal masses desirably consist of metal which can be diecast and surrounds the irregularly shaped arm.

AN R.P.M. REGULATING SYSTEM THAT INCLUDES A HYDRAULIC MOTOR ADAPTED TO DISPLACE THE FUEL QUANTITY CONTROL MEMBER OF A FUEL INJECTION PUMP DELIVERING FUEL TO AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE, A SOLENOID VALVE THAT CONTROLS THE ADMISSION OF HYDRAULIC FLUID TO, AND ITS DRAINAGE FROM, SAID MOTOR AND AN ELECTRONIC CONTROL STAGE THE ENERGIZING OUTPUT SIGNAL OF WHICH, APPLIED TO SAID SOLENOID VALVE, IS GENERATED BY THE COMPARISON OF AN R.P.M. DEPENDENT ELECTRIC SIGNAL AND A SIGNAL RESPONSIVE TO THE POSITION OF SAID FUEL QUANTITY CONTROL MEMBER WITH A SIGNAL RESPONSIVE TO THE ARBITRARILY SET VALUE OF A DESIRED ENGINE OUTPUT.
