Abstract: An endoprosthesis includes a stent having an inner surface defining a lumen and an outer surface; and a polymeric cover on the outer surface of the stent. The polymeric cover includes a base and adhesion elements. When the endoprosthesis is expanded to the expanded state in a lumen defined by a vessel wall, the adhesion elements create an interlock between the vessel wall and the endoprosthesis.

Abstract: A delivery system is provided for delivering an expandable medical device. The delivery system includes a catheter shaft, a proximal stop coupled to the catheter shaft, an inner tube coupled to the proximal stop and extending distally therefrom, a distal stop coupled to the inner tube, and a balloon disposed over the distal stop, the inner tube, and the proximal stop. The inner tube defines an inflation lumen and has a plurality of openings extending through a sidewall of the inner tube into the inflation lumen. The distal stop includes at least one channel extending through a sidewall of the distal stop into the lumen. The distal stop is configured to allow inflation fluid to flow through the inner tube and the at least one channel into a distal region of the balloon.

Abstract: An introducer may include a layered tubular member having an inner liner including at least one folded portion extending along a distal region of the inner liner in a delivery configuration; a reinforcing member disposed over at least a portion of the inner liner, the reinforcing member including a plurality of longitudinal spines defining a plurality of openings disposed between adjacent longitudinal spines, wherein each folded portion is circumferentially overlapped by one of the plurality of openings; and an outer sheath disposed over the reinforcing member, wherein the outer sheath includes at least one perforation circumferentially overlapping each folded portion; and a tip member fixedly attached to a tapered distal region of the layered tubular member. The inner liner may extend to a distal end of the layered tubular member. At least a portion of each folded portion may terminate proximal of the distal end of the layered tubular member.

Abstract: Catheters with weeping balloons can be used for various medical purposes. For example, in some embodiments provided herein weeping balloons are used for catheter visualization devices. In some embodiments, weeping balloons are used to deliver therapeutic agents. Weeping balloons can include openings of a selected size and shape through which a fluid gradually flows or “weeps.” The design of the openings can affect performance characteristics such as, but not limited to, fluid flow rate, tear resistance, and mitigation of counter-flow.
