摘要: The invention relates to a method of improving the surface properties of a radiation cured coating, comprising adding to a radiation-curable coating composition 0.1 to 10.0% by weight, based on the total weight of the radiation-curable coating composition, of a polymer (A) having a polysiloxane backbone and at least two methacryloyl groups connected to the polysiloxane backbone via linking groups, wherein the linking groups comprise at least one non-cyclic ether group, and wherein the polysiloxane backbone is connected to the linking groups via a Si—C bond, and wherein polymer (A) is prepared by a process comprising i) Providing a polysiloxane backbone having at least two Si—H groups, ii) Providing a molecule having at least one methacryloyl group, one allyl group, and at least one non-cyclic ether group located between the allyl group and the at least one methacryloyl group, and iii) Forming a covalent bond between the polysiloxane backbone i) and the molecule ii) by reacting the Si—H groups with the allyl group via a hydrosilylation reaction.

摘要: The invention relates to a urea preparation containing (A) 5 to 75 wt. % of one or more urea components which have a molecular weight of at least 350 g/mol and contain at least one urea group; (B) 15 to 95 wt. %, preferably 30 to 80 wt. %, of one or more organic solvents from the group of N alkyl amides that have a molecular weight of 155 to 700 g/mol, are free of urea groups, and have the following formula (I), in which (a) R1 is an x-containing hydrocarbon group, where x=1 to 24 carbon atoms, R2 is a y-containing organic group, where y=1 to 12 carbon atoms, and R3 is a z-containing organic group, where z=1 to 12 carbon atoms, or (b) R1, R2, and R3 are defined as in (a) but R1 and R2 are connected to each other by a chemical bond and together form a ring with 4 to 10 ring atoms while incorporating the group C(═O)N, and in the case of a ring with 4 or 5 ring atoms, R3 contains at least 6 carbon atoms and maximally 11 carbon atoms, or (c) R1, R2, and R3 are defined as in (a) but R2 and R3 are connected to each other by a chemical bond and together form a ring with 4 to 10 ring atoms while incorporating the nitrogen atom of the general formula (I) with the proviso that for each of (a), (b), and (c), x+y+z≧8; (C) 0 to 35 wt. % of one or more organic solvents which differ from (B) and do not contain urea groups or ionic groups and which have maximally two heteroatoms selected from the group consisting of nitrogen and oxygen; and (D) 0 to 50 wt. % of a salt which differs from the urea component(s) (A), the solvent(s) (B), and the solvent(s) (C), wherein the sum of all of the stated weight percentages equals the total weight of the urea preparation. The invention further relates to the use of the urea preparation as a rheology additive for liquid compositions and to liquid media which contain the urea preparations.

摘要: The present invention relates to ureaurethanes of the following formula (I) in which at least one of the R1 or R2 radicals is a mono- or polyunsaturated, branched or unbranched alkenyl or alkynyl radical having 12 to 24 carbon atoms, n is an integer ≥1, where the upper limit for n arises from the maximum number average molecular weight Mn of the ureaurethanes of the general formula (I), which is 65 000 g/mol, and which is determined by means of gel permeation chromatography to DIN 55672-2 using a polymethyl methacrylate standard, R3 is a xylylene radical or a hydrogenated xylylene radical and R4 is a tolylene radical or various other radicals. The invention also relates to ureaurethane compositions comprising the ureaurethanes of the invention and to the preparation of both. The invention further relates to the use of the ureaurethanes or ureaurethane compositions as rheology control agent and antisettling agent. The invention further provides liquid formulations from the group consisting of coating compositions, polymer formulations, pigment pastes, sealant formulations, cosmetics, ceramic formulations, drilling fluids, adhesive formulations, potting compounds, construction material formulations, lubricants, spackling compounds, printing inks and other inks, comprising the ureaurethanes and ureaurethane compositions.
