摘要: A handheld airless fluid dispensing device comprises a pump, a drive element and an orifice element. The pump directly pressurizes a fluid. The drive element supplies power to the pump. The orifice element is connected to the pump and atomizes un-thinned architectural coating to a particle size of no greater than approximately 150 microns. The pump generates orifice pressures up to approximately 2.48 MPa and the orifice has an area of approximately 18.7 mm2. In one embodiment, the pump, drive element and orifice element are integrated into a handheld housing. In one embodiment, the pump comprises a reciprocating piston fluid pump comprising at least two pumping chambers configured to be actuated out of phase by at least one piston. In another embodiment, the reciprocating piston fluid pump comprises two pistons having different displacements that are linearly actuated by a wobble assembly driven by a gear reducer and an electric motor.

摘要: The pressure relief valve of the instant invention allows automatic operation when over pressurization occurs and also allows the user to operate manually when required. Passages within the valve are minimized in length and an expanding cross-section outlet geometry is used to ensure that operation of valve is not hindered by dried material after initial use. A shield is also incorporated to ensure safe discharge in case of over pressurization.

摘要: A control valve for a fluid dispensing device comprises a valve stem, a valve body, a cap and an adjustment mechanism. The elongate valve stem has a flange. The valve body comprises a valve bore in which the elongate valve stem is configured to translate, and a flow path intersecting the valve bore and into which the valve stem penetrates. The cap is joined to the valve body to receive the valve stem such that the flange is positioned between the valve body and the cap. The adjustment mechanism changes a position of the cap with respect to the valve body to vary a distance between the cap and the flange which adjusts the force, and thereby the pressure at which the valve opens.

摘要: An airless spray pump has a drive train is comprised of a motor having an output gear thereon which drives a combination gear assembly comprised of two gears mounted on a shaft which in turn drives a crank assembly which is comprised of a one-piece eccentric end gear molded together and mounted on a shaft which is supported at both ends to prevent cantilevering and attendant stresses. The crank assembly is offset from the vertical axis of the displacement pump in order to reduce side-loading thereon. A connecting rod is mounted via a pin directly to the top of the displacement rod of the reciprocating pump. Retainer pin clippingly retains the pin in the connecting rod and enables the pin to be removed for servicing without the use of tools other than potentially a screwdriver or other generic tool.
