    摘要: Proposed is an object localization method, system and user interface device for locating a (misplaced) object (10) in an area of a construction (1). The method comprises the steps of (i) identifying the object (10), (ii) providing an illumination device (20) comprising a plurality of light sources (30) modulated to emit light comprising light source identification codes (35), (iii) illuminating the tag (11) with light emitted by the light sources (30), (iv) requesting the tag (11) to measure the illumination and to identify the light sources (30) illuminating the tag by their light source identification codes (35), (v) transmitting object location data from the tag (11) relating to the measured illumination and light source identification codes (35) to a master controller (25) arranged to control the illumination device (20), (vi) providing a feedback signal related to the object (10) using the master controller (25). The method is characterized by using a lighting infrastructure (27) of the construction (1) in providing the illumination device (20). Advantageously, the method enables a user to obtain a feedback signal about the location of the desired object without the need to move through the construction. Instead, the method enables the user to locate many objects within a construction or area from a single fixed position.

    摘要: A television receiver with an electronic program guide (EPG) is disclosed, which allows a user to navigate through an overview of scheduled television programs each belonging to one of a plurality of program categories. Upon highlighting a program item in the guide, or upon highlighting a pictogram representing an available program category, the receiver produces (14) an auditive signal (AUD) which is characteristic of the relevant program category. This provides an additional feedback to the user which eases the process of navigating through on-screen EPG menus. In embodiments of the receiver, the respective auditive signal is also produced as an alert signal (reminder) that a desired program is about to start. A sequence of such reminders may be given at different instants of time before the program starts. By manipulating (15) a parameter, which is characteristic of a perceived distance from user to receiver (e.g. volume), the auditive signal also indicates the time to lapse until the start of the desired program.

    摘要: A network (10) of media processing devices includes a serving device (30) which receives primary media content and at least one rendering device (50, 70). The serving device (30) provides a service to other devices in the network by storing information about which primary content streams have secondary content associated with them and responds to requests from other devices in the network for the stored information. Devices (e.g. Control Point CP 20) can request the information as part of a process of establishing a connection between the serving device (30) and a rendering device (50) in the network for the delivery of the primary content. Alternatively, devices can register an interest in being notified when secondary content becomes available. A user can select whether they wish to accept the secondary content and can determine which device (50, 70) renders the secondary content.
