摘要: A computer-implemented method estimates a vehicle position. The method provides a first position estimate based on position information from at least one first source, wherein the first position estimate is assigned a first bias value and a first statistical variance; provides a second position estimate based on position information from at least one second source; determines a third bias value and a third statistical variance, wherein the third bias value and the third statistical variance are assigned to a third position estimate which results from a combination of the first position estimate and the second position estimate; and evaluates the first position estimate and the third position estimate on the basis of a quality criterion which takes into account the bias value assigned to each position estimate and the statistical variance assigned to each position estimate. When, according to the quality criterion, the third position estimate is better than the first position estimate, the third position estimate is used as the result of the estimation of the vehicle position or as the basis for a combination with position information from one or more additional sources. When, according to the quality criterion, the first position estimate is better than the third position estimate, the first position estimate is used as the result of the estimation of the vehicle position or as the basis for a combination with position information from one or more additional sources.

摘要: A method for collision avoidance of a motor vehicle with an emergency vehicle includes detecting surroundings of the motor vehicle using an optical detection arrangement, detecting wider surroundings of the motor vehicle using an acoustic detection arrangement, and detecting traffic users in the surroundings. The wider surroundings are investigated to detect a signal indicative of an emergency signal of the emergency vehicle, and a trajectory of motion for each of the detected traffic user is determined. If emergency signal is detected, a further investigation is undertaken to detect behavior that is indicative of a hazardous situation in the surroundings. If the behavior indicative of the hazardous situation detected, then the method also includes locating a position of the emergency vehicle and determining a trajectory of motion for the emergency vehicle based on the position of the emergency vehicle and the determined trajectories of motion of the detected traffic users. In addition, it is determined whether a collision of the motor vehicle with the emergency vehicle will occur for a current trajectory of motion of the motor vehicle based on the determined trajectory of motion for the emergency vehicle, and a warning is output to a user of the motor vehicle based on determining that the collision will occur.

摘要: A method is provided for updating parking area information in a navigation system for a vehicle. The method includes the following steps: detecting a parking area by way of data received at least one device on at least one vehicle; determining information relating to the parking area which at least partially relates to characterizing characteristics of the parking area; analyzing the determined information in relation to an adequate characterization of the parking area; comparing the determined information with data of at least one database; and updating the database in the event of a deviation between the determined information and the data of the database.

摘要: A method for determining the validity of an estimated position of a vehicle includes receiving the estimated position; receiving sensor information relating to a vehicle environment; detecting a number of first features in the digital map and a number of second features in the sensor information, wherein the features indicate at least one object beside a road; grouping the first features into a number of first feature groups and grouping the second features into a number of second feature groups; rejecting first and/or second feature groups; assigning at least some of the first feature groups which have not been rejected to a particular second feature group which has not been rejected; and determining the validity of the estimated position based on a comparison of positions of a number of the first feature groups which have not been rejected with positions of the respectively assigned second feature groups.

摘要: A method for operating a driver assistance system of a vehicle includes the steps of: checking whether there is a motorway exit or roadworks on a first side of the vehicle; checking whether an environment sensor system of the vehicle detects a lane marking that bounds a lane of the vehicle on a second side, which is opposite the first side; if the result of the checking is that there is a motorway exit or roadworks on the first side of the vehicle and that the environment sensor system detects the lane marking, operating a lane-keeping function of the driver assistance system; and if the result of the checking is that there is a motorway exit or roadworks on the first side of the vehicle and that the environment sensor system does not detect the lane marking, triggering a takeover request to a driver of the vehicle.
