Abstract: Various systems and methods are presented regarding utilizing technology onboard a vehicle to identify and annotate a vehicle parking spot. The parking spot is identified in a digital image captured by an onboard camera and imaging system, wherein an image including the parking spot can be annotated with a shape identifying the parking spot and further annotated with information regarding the parking spot, e.g., dimensions of the parking spot, an entrance to the parking spot, whether the parking spot is occupied, a location of the parking spot, and suchlike. The parking spot information can be transmitted to a remotely located vehicle and/or a remotely located computer system configured to compile information regarding the parking spot.

Abstract: This document describes techniques and systems for performing a parking path search using a modified parking path algorithm. An example parking system can obtain an initial pose and a goal pose of a host vehicle and an obstacle map for a parking environment. The parking system can then use a parking path algorithm to determine first waypoints for a parking path. In response to a number of run-time iterations being greater than a threshold, the parking system can select an intermediate source node closest to the goal pose. The parking path algorithm can then be used to determine second waypoints from the intermediate source node to the goal pose. The host vehicle can then be controlled to park using the first waypoints and the second waypoints. In this way, a parking path search is performed more efficiently, while still generating a path close to the globally-optimal solution.

Abstract: An information provision method includes: acquiring request information inquiring about a substitute parking lot of a first parking lot from an information terminal of a user; acquiring vacancy information indicating availability of a second parking lot when the request information is acquired, from a second parking lot management system that manages availability of the second parking lot managed by a second operator different from a first operator of the use facility and existing outside an area of the use facility; generating map information indicating the second parking lot having a vacancy; and transmitting the map information to the information terminal to display the map information on the information terminal. The map information includes a message indicating that second incentive for encouraging the user to use the second parking lot is larger than first incentive for encouraging the user to use the first parking lot of the use facility.

Abstract: A system comprising a capture device and a database. The capture device may be configured to capture video, implement a processor to perform video analysis on the captured video to extract metadata, and store the captured video. The database may be configured to receive the metadata from the wireless communication device, analyze the metadata, determine a location of an available parking space in response to the analysis of the metadata and a current location of a parking user and communicate the location of the available parking space to the parking user. The metadata may be extracted by the processor to generate information about objects present in the video and uploaded to the database for storage without the captured video. The processor may detect a status of a plurality of parking spaces and determine whether each of the plurality of parking spaces is the available parking space.
