    摘要： The present invention is to a polyurethane dispersion and products produced therefrom wherein the dispersion contains a polyurethane prepolymer produced from the a reaction of an excess of a polyisocyanate with an isocyanate reactive molecule wherein the polyisocyanate is a bis(isocyanatomethyl)cyclohexane. Preferably the isocyanate comprises (i) trans-1,4-bis(isocyanatomethyl)cyclohexane or (ii) an isomeric mixture of two or more of cis-1,3-bis(isocyanatomethyl)cyclohexane, trans-1,3-bis(isocyanatomethyl)cyclohexane, cis-1,4-bis(isocyanatomethyl)cyclohexane and trans-1,4-bis(isocyanatomethyl)cyclohexane, with the proviso said isomeric mixture comprises at least about 5 weight percent of said trans-1,4-bis(isocyanatomethyl)cyclohexane.

    摘要： The present invention is to emulsifiable polyisocyanate compositions comprising the reaction product of (i) an aliphatic polyisocyanate and (ii) an emulsifier wherein the polyisocyanate comprises a mixture of two or more isomers of cis-1,3-bis(isocyanatomethyl)cyclohexane, trans-1,3-bis(isocyanatomethyl)cyclohexane, cis-1,4-bis(isocyanatomethyl)cyclohexane or trans-1,4-bis(isocyanatomethyl)cyclohexane, with the proviso said isomeric mixture comprises at least about 5 weight percent of said trans-1,4-bis(isocyanatomethyl)cyclohexane. The emulsifiable polyisocyanates are particularly in formulations for producing paints and varnishes, coatings, adhesives, impregnating materials and sealants.

    摘要： The instant invention is a pressure sensitive adhesive composition comprising an ultra-high solid polyurethane dispersion. The ultra-high solid polyurethane dispersion comprises (1) a first component comprising a first polyurethane prepolymer comprising the reaction product of a polyol and polyisocyanate, (2) a second component comprising a media phase selected from the group consisting of a second polyurethane prepolymer emulsion, a low solid content polyurethane dispersion, a seed latex, and combinations thereof; and (3) optionally a chain extender. The ultra-high solid polyurethane dispersion has at least a solid content of at least 60 percent by weight of solid content, based on the total weight of the ultra-high solid polyurethane dispersion, and a viscosity of less than 5000 cps at 20 rpm at 21° C. using spindle #4 with Brookfield viscometer.

    摘要： The instant invention is a composite dispersion, method of producing the same, and articles made therefrom. The composite dispersion according to the instant invention comprises (1) a first seed dispersion comprising (a) a first internal phase; and (b) an external phase, and (2) a second internal phase; wherein the composite dispersion comprises more than 60 percent by the combined weight of the first internal phase and the second internal phase, and the composite dispersion has a viscosity of less than 10,000 cP measured by RV4 spindle at 20 rpm at greater than 60 weight percent total internal phase, and wherein the composite dispersion has a bimodal particle size distribution and a particle size ratio (P2/P1) in the range of 2 to 200. The first internal phase comprises a first hydrophobic material selected from the group consisting of alkyd, silicone, polyolefin, polyurethane, epoxy, emulsion polymer, and polyester. The external phase comprises water. The second internal phase comprises a second hydrophobic material selected from the group consisting of alkyd, silicone, polyurethane prepolymer, epoxy, and polyester.
