摘要: A method of dynamic authentication configuration adjusts authentication configuration according to traffic patterns within a system, such as a cellular communications network. In a network, mobile devices are authenticated based on various events, such as an attach, location update, originated call, etc. According to a first embodiment, one or more authentication configuration profiles is defined for a VLR/SGSN and a time schedule/table to automatically update the authentication configurations based on a time. Accordingly, the number of authentications for a particular VLR is reduced as signaling traffic increases, and vice versa. In another exemplary embodiment, an HLR monitors system level traffic load to command each VLR and SGSN to change the authentication configurations. Authentication operations are preferably configured on per node and per traffic pattern basis.

摘要: A medical device is disclosed, comprising a substrate, having on its surface, on at least a part thereof, a hydrophilic surface layer providing low-friction surface character of the medical device when wetted by a wetting fluid. The substrate is made of a polymer blend comprising a polyolefin and a composition having molecules with active hydrogen(s), such as polyamide or polyurethane. The hydrophilic surface layer is preferably adhered to the substrate by a polyurea network, whereby said polyurea network forms a covalent bond to said active hydrogen(s) in the substrate. The new substrate material is environmentally acceptable and cost effective, has adequate mechanical and chemical properties and enables the hydrophilic coating to be adequately adhered.

摘要: A method and device for manufacturing of electrical components on a continuous web or discrete sheets of dielectric material are disclosed. The method includes feeding, from a supply roll of a laminated web or a supply of sheets including at least one unbroken layer of conducting material laminated on a flexible backing layer of dielectrical material, the laminated web or discrete sheets to a nip between a patterned cylinder and a cooperating cylinder, to shape the conducting layer into a repeated pattern of conducting material having ridges and valleys. The method further includes removing, by mechanical machining, conducting material from the thus shaped conducting layer. The removing is performed simultaneously with the step to shape the conducting layer, and by way of the cooperating cylinder, designed as a milling cutter cylinder.

摘要: To improve the quality of photographs of people, the disclosure describes a system and method of photography using desirable feature recognition. The system and method recognize when the subject persons in a photograph possess one or more desirable features for a desirable photograph, such as when they are all smiling and/or not blinking. The system and method may be applied either to individual or group photographs. The system and method of the present invention may operate in a “Full Mode”, in which a picture is taken when all subject persons possess the desirable feature(s). The system and method also may operate in a “Proportional Mode”, in which a picture is taken when a set proportion of the subject persons possess the desirable feature(s). The system and method also may operate in a “Best Picture Mode”, in which multiple photographs are imaged, and the best photograph is selected for keeping, as measured by the photograph containing the highest proportion of subject persons who possess the desirable feature(s). The system and method also may operate in a timer mode, which permits the camera user to appear in the photograph.

摘要: In a system, called an application manager, portable devices can be connected in various kinds of local area networks (LANs). In the portable devices, local browsers are run to find services by listening in the local area network to messages broadcast from a local information server through some base unit. The local information server registers local services and provides, on automatic requests from the local browsers, address information of the local services. The address information is used by a local browser to obtain, through the Internet, general information of the services from an HTTP server, that contains information of applications, such as graphical information including icon files and short descriptions of the applications. After receiving the general information symbols of available services, it is then shown on the display of the portable device. The user can then by a single click access a service and then the local browser automatically downloads the user part of the application the symbol of which has been clicked and starts to execute the program of the application. The executing generally does not require communication or information relevant to the current location of the user, such as timetable information for trains and air flights.
