Abstract: A device for collecting a tissue sample includes an outer needle extending longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end and including a lumen extending therethrough. The device also includes an inner needle extending longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end and including an opening extending laterally in and along a length thereof. The inner needle is sized and shaped to be slidably received within the lumen of the outer needle and movable relative thereto between an insertion configuration, in which the opening is covered by the outer needle, to a tissue collecting configuration, in which the opening is exposed. In addition, the device includes a handle assembly for adjusting a throw length of the inner needle relative to the outer needle.

Abstract: Anchor delivery systems and methods for repairing a valve inside a body, such as a heart valve, may include a delivery catheter having a distal end comprised of two or more rotatably coupled knuckles. An anchor delivery mechanism is disposed distally of the two or more knuckles, and includes a first pincer arm having a distal end and a proximal end rotatably coupled to a distal end of the anchor delivery mechanism at a first connection point, and a second pincer arm having a distal end and a proximal end rotatably coupled to the distal end of the anchor delivery mechanism at a second connection point opposite the first connection point. In a closed position, the distal ends of the first and second pincer arms are positioned together. In an open position, the distal ends of the first and second pincer arms are rotated apart from each other.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a valve structure that comprises a flexible structure having a distal portion configured for attachment to a first member and a proximal portion configured for attachment to a second member. The flexible structure is configured such that when the first member is extended distally relative to the second member, the flexible structure adopts a reduced width profile and such that when the first member is retracted proximally relative to the second member to a point of maximal retraction, the flexible structure adopts an expanded width profile, which is more resistant to deformation due to fluid pressure in a proximal direction than it is to deformation due to fluid pressure in a distal direction. The present disclosure is also directed to devices and methods pertaining to such a valve structure.
