    摘要: A fast data method is contemplated to speed data processing and/or transmission times associated with sensor devices desiring to report or otherwise communicate electronic data over wireless or wireline communications mediums to a processing entity. The fast data method may be achieved by scheduling transmission windows/intervals for the sensor devices and adjusting the scheduled intervals in a manner aimed at increasing processing/polling speeds and/or in a manner aimed at facilitating transmission of data built-up over time due to a prior inability to transmit the data.

    摘要: An elevation range meter is configured to be used in conjunction with a reticle to provide an offset range marking, such as an offset range distance that a target is located over on the reticle before firing. An offset range distance factors in the range to the target and the elevation of the firearm. The elevation range meter has a weighted dial that rotates with respect to the barrel or elevation angle to indicate an offset range marking, such as a distance, milliradians or minutes of angle, from a plurality of elevation range marking columns on the weighted dial. The weighted dial may have a plurality of columns of elevation range markings and the appropriate column for the determined range may be selected to indicate the offset range distance. The user may then locate the target on the reticle at this offset range distance before firing.

    摘要: A mass flow controller and method for operating the same is disclosed. The mass flow controller includes a mass flow control system to control the mass flow rate of a fluid, and a data logging component that obtains snapshots of condition-specific-data for each of a plurality of reoccurring condition types, and reduces each snapshot of condition-specific-data to functional parameter values that characterize each snapshot of condition-specific-data, and the data logging component generates statistical values that are stored in a short term data store that characterize multiple functional parameter values that are obtained during each separate occurrence of a specific condition type. A diagnostics component diagnoses failures using current functional parameter values and the statistical values stored in the short-term memory, and a prognostics component predicts failures based upon a collection of data sets that are stored in the long-term memory.

    摘要: A fixture for facilitating the accurate and repeatable preset of chamfering tool cutting inserts to proper height and angle specifications. The fixture may include an upright main body with a removable insert for receiving an end of a chamfering tool of interest. The insert may include several raised support pads for supporting the chamfering tool in an elevated position. The fixture may also employ chamfering tool clamping mechanisms to securely clamp the chamfering tool to the fixture. The clamping mechanisms may include a feature that allows for proper clamping pressure to be exerted on a given chamfering tool even if a flange portion thereof is somewhat thicker or thinner than expected. One or more locating pins or other locating elements may also be employed to ensure repeatable location of a chamfering tool to the fixture.

    摘要: The described systems, methods, and data structures are directed at data transfer using Hyper-Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP) query strings. A block of data is partitioned into sections. Each section is encoded in a query string of a HTTP message. Each HTTP message is sent to a server by redirecting through a client. Multiple redirected messages are sent until the entire block of data is transferred to the server. The data block may be stored as a cookie on the client so that the data block does not have to persist on any server. Data transfer using HTTP query strings may be implemented to transfer a security token from a security token service (STS) server to an application server.
