    摘要: A pickup actuator of a disc drive includes a pair of magnets, each facing a respective side of a bobbin and having a middle region with a first polarity and side regions with a second polarity opposite of the first polarity. The pickup actuator includes a plurality of tracking coils disposed on the respective sides of the bobbin facing the magnets. Each tracking coil has two effective coil portions with one facing the middle region and the other facing one of the side regions of the magnet, for higher sensitivity. The magnets are disposed at two sides of a bobbin for lower cost and complexity of manufacture.

    摘要: An optical pickup actuator and an optical recording and/or reproducing apparatus and method using the same. The optical pickup actuator includes a blade, a plurality of suspensions, first and second coil members, and a magnet member. An objective lens is placed on one side of the blade. Each of the suspensions is coupled at one end to the blade and fixed at the other end to a holder provided at one side of a base, such that the suspensions movably support the blade. The first and second coil members are installed on the base to be separated from each other, with the magnet member being installed on the blade between the first and second coil members.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a light guide capable of transferring light from an illuminating apparatus to a certain distant destination. The light guide includes a light source, and a hollow guide unit extended from the light source and having a transparent lateral surface. The present invention provides a pipe shaped light guide having a cross section of an epicycloidal curve for enhancing power and a light emitting characteristic. In the present invention, light is transmitted using a light transmitting material or a prism at a portion of a cross section of the epicycloidal curve, and a reflection plate formed of a high reflection ratio is installed at the remaining portions of the cross section of the same. In addition, an expensive lens or prism is not used in the present invention thereby decreasing fabrication cost. It is possible to provide a high efficiency light guide. In particular, it is possible to improve illumination and energy efficiency characteristics by changing the type of the epicycloid or changing an optical parameter of a material which forms the wall surface of the light guide.

    摘要: A microwave oven includes a magnetron for generating electromagnetic wave energy, a waveguide for guiding and directing the electromagnetic wave energy into a cavity body defining a cooking chamber, and an antenna for radiating the electromagnetic wave energy generated by the magnetron into the waveguide. The waveguide includes a first opening for uniformly dispersing the electromagnetic wave energy into the cooking chamber, a second opening for uniformly dispersing the electromagnetic wave energy into the cooking chamber, and a short circuit for providing a short surface to the antenna. The first opening is formed on a portion of the waveguide which contacts the cavity body and extends along a longitudinal direction. The second opening is spaced away from and having a predetermined angle with respect to the first opening.
