    Abstract: This application relates to a winding device and a winding method, and pertains to the field of battery manufacturing technology. This application proposes a winding device including: a winding component; and a drawing mechanism, where the drawing mechanism is configured to draw a protruding section of a separator after the separator is led out of the winding component, so that length of the protruding section reaches a preset value. The winding component is configured to start winding after the length of the protruding section reaches the preset value, to form an electrode assembly. This application further proposes a winding method for forming an electrode assembly through winding. The winding device and the winding method are used for forming an electrode assembly with high safety performance through winding, so as to implement industrial production of the electrode assembly and improve manufacturing efficiency of the electrode assembly.

    Abstract: A battery pack may include a battery pack case and battery cells accommodated in the battery pack case; the inner space of the battery pack case may include a first area, a second area, a third area, and a fourth area; a first battery cell may be provided in the first area, a second battery cell may be provided in the second area, a third battery cell may be provided in the third area, and a fourth battery cell may be provided in the fourth area; and the first battery cell, the second battery cell, the third battery cell, and the fourth battery cell each have a first discharge voltage plateau and a second discharge voltage plateau, and an average discharge voltage in the first discharge voltage plateau may be higher than an average discharge voltage in the second discharge voltage plateau.

    Abstract: The application provides a secondary battery and a device including the same. The second battery includes: a negative electrode plate, the negative electrode plate including a negative active material; a separation film, the separation film including a base material and a coating arranged on at least one surface of the base material; and an electrolyte, the electrolyte including an organic solvent, where the negative active material includes a silicon-based material and a carbon material; thickness of the base material of the separation film is 7 μm˜12 μm; and the organic solvent includes ethylene carbonate, and a weight ratio of the ethylene carbonate in the organic solvent is ≤20%. The secondary battery and the device including the same, which are provided by the application, in the premise of having high energy density, can also have good high-temperature cycle performance, good high-temperature storage performance, and low low-temperature direct current resistance.
