    摘要: A print medium is conveyed in a first direction and a print head is provided with a reference side nozzle array and a plurality of nonreference side nozzle arrays. A relative position displacement amount between a reference printing position of a reference pattern printed by the reference side nozzle array and a nonreference printing position of each of nonreference patterns printed by each of the nonreference side nozzle arrays is detected. Based on a maximum value of a displacement amount of the reference printing position with respect to each of the nonreference printing positions in a direction opposite to the first direction, a first correction value for correcting displacement of the reference printing position is calculated. With reference to the reference printing position after corrected based on the first correction value, a second correction value for correcting displacement is calculated for each of the nonreference printing positions.

In a case of the power amount in a second amount smaller than the first amount, the moving speed is determined as a speed higher than the first speed in a case where the application amount is equal to the predetermined amount.

The plurality of discharge ports in each of the first and second discharge port arrays is obliquely arranged at a predetermined tilt with respect to the first direction. Discharge timing is adjusted based on the tilt of the discharge port arrays.

    摘要: A printing apparatus and a conveyance control method are provided, both capable of detecting a print medium conveying state highly precisely in an entire process of conveying the print medium being printed. For this purpose, the surface of the print medium placed on the belt and the surface of the belt are detected to acquire the moving distance or moving speed of the print medium. Based on the moving distance or moving speed thus obtained, the driving of the belt is controlled. Even in a situation where the object being detected switches from the print medium to the belt in the middle of the conveying operation, the measurement of the moving distance can be performed without interruption by the same detection method using the same optical sensor unit.

    摘要: A recording apparatus includes a conveyance unit, a conveyance path, a double-sided conveyance path, and first and second charge eliminators. The conveyance unit conveys a recording medium having first and second surfaces in a first direction through the conveyance path to a recording area where recording is performed by a recording unit on the first surface. The recording medium then passes through the double-sided conveyance path before recording is performed on the second surface. The first charge eliminator eliminates charges from the first surface and is disposed at a position downstream of a junction between the conveyance path and the double-sided conveyance path in the first direction and upstream of the recording area in the first direction. The second charge eliminator eliminate charges from the second surface and is disposed downstream of the junction in the first direction and upstream of the recording area in the first direction.
