    Abstract: A control system of a detection system for measuring one or more conditions within a predetermined area includes a control unit having at least one processor for implementing an algorithm and a fiber harness having at least one fiber optic cable for transmitting light, the at least one fiber optic cable defining at least one node arranged to measure the one or more conditions. A sensor is operably coupled to the at least one node, wherein the sensor receives scattered light associated with the at least one node and generates signals corresponding to the scattered light. A switch is operably coupled to the sensor and to the control unit. The switch selectively provides signals from the sensor to the control unit for processing to determine at least one of a presence and magnitude of the condition within the predetermined area.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a human flow estimation system and a human flow estimation method. The human flow estimation system comprises: a sensor network comprising a plurality of sensors for collecting data and respectively arranged in each to-be-estimated region and between the to-be-estimated regions; a model building module configured to build a horizontal human flow model and a vertical human flow model based on the plurality of sensors arranged in each to-be-estimated region and/or arranged between the to-be-estimated regions; and a human flow estimation module configured to estimate human flow data based on the horizontal human flow model and the vertical human flow model. The human flow estimation system and the human flow estimation method according to the present invention can realize high-precision estimation of human flow data in a three-dimensional space.

    Abstract: A human flow estimation system comprises: a sensor network comprising a plurality of sensors arranged in a to-be-estimated region for detecting the human flow; a model building module configured to build a human flow state model based on arrangement positions of the sensors, and build a sensor network model based on data of the sensors; and a human flow estimation module configured to estimate the human flow and provide a data weight of the estimated human flow based on the human flow state model and the sensor network model. The human flow estimation system further comprises a failure detection module configured to detect whether each sensor in the sensor network is abnormal, and the model building module is further configured to adjust the human flow state model and the sensor network model when an exception exists on the sensor.

    Abstract: Provided are embodiments including a system for operating an augmented reality model-based fire extinguisher training platform. The system includes a computation engine configured to receive one or more inputs and generate a simulation based on the one or more inputs, and a fire extinguisher configured to communicate with the computation engine, wherein the fire extinguisher includes a plurality of sensors to provide feedback to the computation engine. The system also includes a display device that is operably coupled to the computation engine and is configured to display the generated simulation from the computation engine, and wherein the computation engine is configured to perform analytics to generate a recommendation for a design of the fire extinguisher based at least in part on the feedback from fire extinguisher. Also provided are embodiments that include a method for operating an augmented reality model-based fire extinguisher training platform.
