    摘要: A shift lever apparatus for use in bicycles comprising first and second ratchet wheels and first and second switch levers, all of them being mounted on a main shaft. The first and second switch levers contain first and second ratchet pawls for engaging with the first and second ratchet wheels, respectively. The first and second ratchet wheels are connected to a cam via a gear set so as to cause the cam to rotate in forward and reverse directions, respectively. The outer periphery of the cam consists a plurality of spiral sectors, each of which having monotonically increasing radius, alternated with a plurality of circular sectors, each of which having constant radius. When a follower, which is provided in the shift lever apparatus, is in contact with one of the spiral sectors, a movement of the first or the second lever will cause the cam to rotate, in a forward or reverse direction, and the follower to pull or release the shifting cable according, thus allowing the derailleur to shift gear upward or downward.

    摘要: An improved rear derailleur for changing the gear ratio of a bicycle is disclosed. It includes a fixed member, a movable member, a parallelogram mechanism connecting the fixed member with the movable member, and a cable adjusting screw which is screwed to a screw socket fixed on the fixed member. The cable adjusting screw is connected to a first end of a cable, wherein the cable has a second end fixed to a movable member. The cam member comprises a guiding surface for guiding the cable between the cable adjusting screw and the movable member. The guiding surface of the cam member is structured substantially coinciding a portion of a fictitious circle centered at a rotating pin which connects an outer linkage of the parallelogram with a second end of the fixed member. Furthermore, the cable adjusting screw is positioned in such a manner that its extension is always substantially tangential to the guiding surface of the cam member, so as to allow the cable to be pulled in a direction substantially coincident with the axial extension of the cable adjusting screw.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a bicycle speed change lever apparatus which is mounted near the handlebar of a bicycle. A lever apparatus is used for pushing a ratchet member, allowing the ratchet member to produce a positive or negative rotation, which further drives a cable-pulling member, thus allowing the cable to be tightened or relaxed by the cable-pulling member to accomplish an in or back shift. A position maintaining mechanism is also provided for effectuating the shift change, and the cable is allowed to maintain a certain amount of tension. The speed change lever apparatus eases the shifting operation and makes the in shift or back shift more precisely controlled.

The bicycle speed control apparatus includes a first seat connected to a bicycle handlebar and a second seat having a shaft used to connect to the first seat. A cylindrical sleeve member is used to connect to the drive cable and provided with first teeth, second teeth and third teeth in parallel. A first shifting lever and a second shifting lever are provided to pivot on the shaft. A first pawl and a second pawl are provided to movably mount on the first shifting lever and the second shifting lever, respectively. A resilient member is used to position on the shaft so as to engage the third teeth and disengage the first pawl from the first teeth and disengage the second pawl from the second teeth.

The device includes a handle bar fixing base, a cover fixing base, a rubber cover, a positioning plate, positioning protuberances, saucer shaped springs, a circular fixing hole for a steel cable head, a steel cable guide groove and a stroke compensating device. The device utilizes cooperative function of positioning recessed slots formed around a rigid positioning plate. The positioning protuberances are provided at the rear of the cover fixing base and the saucer shaped springs are adjacent to the positioning plate to provide mutual engagement force therebetween so as to achieve an excellent positioning effect of gear transmission even under the worst riding environment. As a result, the device can be conveniently operable with a small applied force to perform speed change smoothly, the device having a simplified and easy looking appearance constructed with a small number of components, and being able to easily be assembled and repaired.

    摘要: A gear shifting device for a multi-speed bicycle includes a sleeve member having a flange to one side of which a drum housing is connected and to another side of which a rotary grip member is connected by means of a locking and returning device. A ratchet wheel is put over and around the sleeve member within the drum housing, a transmission steel cord reel is connected to one side of the ratchet wheel and is fixed to the sleeve member by a pullback spring. Two ratchet pawls are separately pivotally connected to the rotary grip member and the sleeve member, each having a pawl spring fixedly connected thereto to cause a pawl end of each ratchet pawl to normally contact the ratchet teeth of the ratchet wheel. A lever member is used for pushing the ratchet pawls is located within the drum housing and has a push lever extending through a slot formed on the drum housing and two projections for pushing the two ratchet pawls. The gear shifting mechanism is associated with a handlebar grip of the multi-speed bicycle, to enable a rider to easily rotate the rotary grip member or press the push lever of the lever member with a thumb to change the gearing of the bicycle.

    摘要: A multiple sprocket assembly for use in a bicycle comprising: (1) at least a large sprocket wheel and a small sprocket wheel, each of the large and small sprocket wheels having a plurality of teeth on an outer edge thereof, and the large sprocket wheel having more teeth than the small sprocket wheel; (2) each of the sprocket wheels being adapted to engage with a chain guided by a derailleur; the chain comprising a plurality of rollers connected in series by link plates. The multiple sprocket assembly is characterized in that the small sprocket wheel has at least two consecutive teeth, each with a portion of its side surface trimmed off, and the large sprocket wheel has at least three consecutive teeth each also with a portion of its side surface trimmed off, so as to avoid interference between the link plates and the large sprocket when the chain is being shifted from the small sprocket to the large sprocket. In a preferred embodiment, at least two of the trimmed portions on the small sprocket are formed on the first distal side surface, and the trimmed portions on the large sprocket contain at least two trimmed portions on the second distal side surface and at least one trimmed portion on the second proximal side surface. The side surfaces of the teeth of the small sprocket are trimmed in such a manner such that the escape roller will not be immediately lifted up, but will be pushed laterally as a result of the trimmed portions of the small sprocket. The side surfaces of the teeth of the large sprocket are trimmed in such a manner such that one of the surfaces contains an axially extending portion, which serves as a fulcrum for the engage roller to be pivotally engaged with the large sprocket.
