Abstract:
A device and method is provided for separating associated ions within a gaseous fluid stream into a first population of positively-charged hydrated hydrogen ions and a second population of gaseous hydrated anions. The device employs a housing and spinning wheel within a vacuum chamber to expose a flow of associated ions to a combination of microwaves and magnetic energy within the vacuum to cause bifurcation of the associated ions into a first population of positively-charged hydrated hydrogen ions and a second population of gaseous hydrated anions which may be collected in reservoirs. The collected two populations can be further channeled through a transformer to electrically induce a force for locomotion or communication.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an additive for pigmented aqueous systems comprising a mixture of a cationic polymer and a high surface area anionic inorganic particle, methods for making and using the additive, methods of forming an aqueous paper coating color as well as a cellulose matrix coated therewith; and a process for preparing stabilized pre-mixes.
Abstract:
A method and device for production of helium and recoverable energy is provided. The system directs a first directionalized flow of a of a first streaming population of deuterium ions to an intersection with a second directionalized flow of a second streaming population of deuterium ions opposite the first stream. At or proximate to an intersection of the two streams helium and waste energy are produced and captured.
Abstract:
Pigmented coated paper is prepared by adding a water-soluble hydroxyalkylcellulose (HAC) with an alkyl moiety of 1 to 4 carbons, or water soluble alkylhydroxyalkylcellulose (AHAC) with an alkyl hydrophobe of 1 to 24 carbons to a pigmented wet coating formulation in an amount equal to or greater than 0.15 parts HAC or AHAC based on pigment content of the coating and applying the pigmented wet coating formulation to a moving paper web via roller metering size press, wherein the use of HAC or AHAC in the pigmented coating significantly reduce misting of the coating during application as compared to the control condition with no HAC or AHAC added.

Abstract:
A paper coating composition containing water, a binder, a high viscosity hydroxyethylcellulose polymer and a pigment, wherein the pigment comprises greater than about 80% by weight calcium carbonate pigment. Papers coated with the paper coating composition containing the high viscosity hydroxyethylcellulose polymer and calcium carbonate pigments exhibit improved water retention performance and good optical properties.

Abstract:
Paper useful in the manufacture of gypsum wallboard is surfaced treated with an additive to improve the bonding affinity of the paper for wet plaster thereby permitting the manufacture of gypsum wallboard with little or no added starch and reduced amounts of water. A surface treating adhesive, a method of converting the paper and wallboards containing the paper are also described.
