摘要: Apparatus and methods are provided for generating output signals representative of bits of serial data. A transmitter includes driver circuitry configured to generate an output signal at an output node and an allocation control module coupled to the driver circuitry. The driver circuitry includes a plurality of driver legs configured to generate the output signal based on a plurality of data bits. The allocation control module is configured to allocate a respective subset of the plurality of driver legs to a respective data bit of a plurality of data bits, wherein the each subset generates a component of the output signal that is influenced by its respective data bit.

摘要: The invention provides a stable concentrated dairy liquid, such as concentrated milk, with improved flavor, color, and mouthfeel, and a method of production thereof. The method utilizes specific thermal treatments to produce the stable concentrated dairy liquid to which a stabilizer and mouthfeel enhancer are added. The resulting products have a sterilization value Fo of at least 5 that is also resistant to gelling and browning during high temperature sterilization and is also resistant to gelling and browning during storage for greater than six months. The method balances such thermal treatments with addition of stabilizer and enhancer to achieve the desired flavor/mouthfeel and sterilization and to achieve reduced level of soluble protein in the concentrated milk prior to concentration to resist gelation and minimize browning. Moreover, such processing may be utilized in a milk that is concentrated to a factor of 2.7 fold or higher and contains at least 8.5 percent protein.

摘要: A method for emendation of attention trajectory in video content analysis is disclosed. The method includes steps of extracting attention area for each frame in a video sequence, each attention area of a frame selectively being a reference for the other frames, projecting the attention area of the reference to a current frame, and determining an enhanced attention area of the current frame by collecting and merging all the projected attention areas together with the original attention area of the current frame to emend the attention trajectory of the video sequence so as to make the attention trajectory smooth. Advantageously, short-life attention or noise is omitted, and the attention area is also enriched, therefore, the smooth of the attention trajectory improves subjective viewing experience of human being.

摘要: A system and a method for multimedia multicast transmission in a mobile wireless network are proposed, which can be applied in a multiple-antenna system as well as a single antenna system. The basic message and additional message are transmitted at the same time. Receivers with different capability also with different complexities are used to demodulate different message. In order to design low-complexity receiver, the signal can be demodulated noncoherently for multimedia transmission.

摘要: A wireless local area network (WLAN) adheres to ANSI/IEEE 802.11 standards and communicates with user terminals (UTs) in a coverage region. The WLAN communicates video and audio to the mobile terminals over a downlink channel. In order to maximize quality of service, the system provides for a method of inhibiting the mobiles terminals from attempting to gain control of the downlink channel during transmission of program information. In particular, the WLAN access point transmits data frames that are separated in inter-frame time period that is shorter than a first inter-frame period defined by the communications standard for allowing a device to gain control of the transmission channel.

摘要: A method (400) and apparatus (1000) for compressing digital ink such as a hand-drawn object (104) are provided. The hand-drawn object is first prepared (406, 1010) and then Bezier curves based upon the hand-drawn object are generated (408, 1012). The Bezier curve representation (202) of the hand-drawn object (104) is further compressed (418, 1018) by modifying Bezier control points to produce a compressed Bezier curve representation (302) of the hand-drawn object (104).

摘要: A two component, high temperature, thermally stable explosive composition comprises a liquid or low melting oxidizer and a liquid or low melting organic fuel. The oxidizer and fuel in admixture are incapable of substantial spontaneous exothermic reaction at temperatures on the order of 475.degree. K. At temperatures on the order of 475.degree. K., the oxidizer and fuel in admixture have an activation energy of at least about 40 kcal/mol. As a result of the high activation energy, the preferred explosive compositions are nondetonable as solids at ambient temperature, and become detonable only when heated beyond the melting point. Preferable oxidizers are selected from alkali or alkaline earth metal nitrates, nitrites, perchlorates, and/or mixtures thereof. Preferred fuels are organic compounds having polar hydrophilic groups. The most preferred fuels are guanidinium nitrate, acetamide and mixtures of the two. Most preferred oxidizers are eutectic mixtures of lithium nitrate, potassium nitrate and sodium nitrate, of sodium nitrite, sodium nitrate and potassium nitrate, and of potassium nitrate, calcium nitrate and sodium nitrate.

摘要: A process transfers data packets through a protocol stack employed by a device that transmits packets on a packet connection to a wireless network between at least two, distinct wireless access technologies such as GSM/GPRS and UMTS. A first layer of the stack stores a copy of a transferred packet until confirmation is received from a next, lower layer of successful transfer of the packet of the stack. In the absence of such confirmation and on the occurrence of a switch of the packet connection to a new connection path, particularly one of a different wireless access technology, the stored packet is transferred to the protocol stack to be employed by the wireless device for the new packet connection path. Consequently, the packet transfer process avoids packets being lost on the occurrence of a switch between different technology wireless access packet connection paths.

摘要: The invention is directed to a process for transferring data packets through a protocol stack employed by the device for transmitting packets on a packet connection to a wireless network, said wireless network operating at least two, distinct wireless access technologies such as GSM/GPRS and UMTS. The packet transfer process generally comprises each layer of a protocol stack for a currently active packet connection path providing confirmation to a next, higher layer in the stack of successful reception of a data packet from that layer, thereby confirming successful transfer of the data packet through the stack. The first layer of the stack stores a copy of a transferred packet until such time as its receives confirmation from the next, lower layer of successful transfer of the packet of the stack. In the absence of such confirmation and on the occurrence of a switch (hand-off) of the packet connection to a new connection path, particularly one of a different wireless access technology, the stored packet is transferred to the protocol stack to be employed by the wireless device for the new packet connection path. Consequently, the packet transfer process avoids packets being lost on the occurrence of a switch between different technology wireless access packet connection paths.
