摘要： Methods of using a mixture as a corrosion inhibitor, moisture or formaldehyde scavenger, reactive diluent, rheological modifier, thermoplastic foam inhibitor, antifreezing agent, decolorizing agent, drying agent, agent for reducing bubble formation, and an agent for reducing downglossing. The mixture consists of from 0 to 100 mole percent of an iminoalcohol compound: ##STR1## wherein: R.sub.1 is a methyl or methylol group, an ethyl or ethylol group, a branched or straight chain alkyl or alkanol group, a cycloalkyl group, or an aryl group; R.sub.2 is a hydrogen atom, a methyl or methylol group, an ethyl or ethylol group, a straight chain or branched chain alkyl or alkanol group, a cycloalkyl group, or an aryl group, or R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are fused together with the attached carbon to form a cycloalkane ring; R.sub.3, R.sub.4 and R.sub.5 are, individually, a hydrogen atom, a methyl or methylol group, an ethyl or ethylol group, or a straight chain or branched chain alkyl or alkanol group; R.sub.6 is a hydrogen atom, a methyl group, an ethyl group, or a straight chain or branched chain alkyl group; and R.sub.7 is a hydrogen atom, a methyl or methylol group, an ethyl or ethylol group, a straight chain or branched chain alkyl or alkanol group, a cycloalkyl group, an acyl group, an aryl group, an ester containing group, or an amino containing group; andfrom 0 to 100 mole percent of an oxazolidine compound having the structure: ##STR2##

摘要： A method of preparing a monohalogenated nitroalkane which comprises reacting equal molar quantities of an alkali metal hydroxide and a nitroalkane in a suitable medium to form a nitronate salt therein, promptly mixing the medium containing the nitronate salt with an equal molar quantity of a halogen to form a monohalogenated nitroalkane in the medium, promptly adding a material to the medium containing the monohalogenated nitroalkane to terminate any further halogenation therein, and recovering the monohalogenated nitroalkane from the medium.

摘要： A method of preparing bromonitroalcohols of the formula ##STR1## where R.sub.1 is H, lower alkyl or R.sub.2, R.sub.2 is R.sub.3 CHOH in which R.sub.3 is H, alkyl or aryl, and X is a halogen, which comprises reacting a halonitroalkane with a substantially nonaqueous solutioln of an aldehyde of the formula R.sub.3 CHO where R.sub.3 is as noted above, in the presence of an alkaline catalyst. R.sub.3 preferably is lower alkyl or monocyclic aryl such as phenyl.

摘要： A method of preparing an amino alcohol of the formula ##STR1## where R.sub.1 is H, lower alkyl or R.sub.2, R.sub.2 is R.sub.3 CHOH in which R.sub.3 is H, alkyl or aryl. R.sub.3 preferably is hydrogen, lower alkyl or monocyclic aryl such as phenyl. The inventive method involves the reaction of halonitroalcohol with hydrogen in the presence of methanol, a suitable buffering agent such as ammonia, and a hydrogenation catalyst to form amino alcohol salt, neutralizing the amino alcohol salt, and recovering the resultant amino alcohol.
