Abstract:
A scale assembly of a table saw includes front and rear outer slide members at front and rear ends of a slide mechanism respectively; front and rear inner slide members at front and rear ends of a table assembly respectively in which the front inner slide member slides in the front outer slide member and the rear inner slide member slides in the rear outer slide member; a block member secured to a front end of a rip fence assembly and including a channel and a spring biased member; and a lever in the channel and including a trigger, a projection, and first and second recesses in which in a locked position, the spring biased member is biased by a spring to enter the first recess and the projection enters a lengthwise cavity on an outer surface of the front outer slide member.
Abstract:
A power miter saw includes an activation assembly including a lever, a spring loaded drive rod passing through an underside of the table, a curved link pivotably secured to the drive rod, a pivotal member pivotably secured to the curved link and secured to the lever, a driven rod, a clamping member in an edge of a positioning seat, and an axle through the positioning seat and having an end pivotably disposed in a support seat; a graduated member including apertures; and a locking device including a hollow member having two side slots, a spring loaded cam member, and a transverse bar passing through the positioning seat, the slots, and the cam member; a spring loaded pin secured to a forward end of the hollow member; and two lever members secured to two ends of the transverse bar respectively. A pivotal movement of the lever unfastens a positioning seat.
Abstract:
A table saw includes a height adjustment wheel including a threaded shaft; a blade suspension mechanism secured to a lock crank; a rod secured to both the blade suspension mechanism and a bottom of the cutting surface; an electric motor including a driving shaft and a link extending forward to secure to the blade suspension mechanism; a circular saw blade operatively connected to the driving shaft; first and second mounting plates each secured to the link and including a slanted slot element; and an interconnection including two end holes moveably disposed in the slot elements of the first and second mounting plates respectively, and an intermediate threaded hole secured to the threaded shaft. A rotation of the height adjustment wheel moves the saw blade up or down.
Abstract:
A table saw is provided with a table assembly including an upper cutting surface having a front edge and a rear edge; a slide assembly including, at each of the front edge and the rear edge, an inner slide member, an intermediate slide member slidably journalled in the inner slide member, and an outer slide member slidably journalled in the intermediate slide member wherein the intermediate slide member includes a pin moveably disposed in an elongated slot of the outer slide member; and a lock assembly under the upper cutting surface and including a lever, a cam at a distal end of the lever, and a spring biased two part rod wherein the cam is pivotably disposed between two parts of the rod. In response to a clockwise turning of the lever and the cam the biasing member expands to unlock the slide assembly.
Abstract:
A bracket assembly is provided with a shell, a pivotal first curved member on one end of a recessed shell bottom, a pivotal second curved member on the other end of the shell bottom, a link including a slot, a first pin driven through the first curved member and the slot to fasten the first curved member and the link together, and a third hole at an other end, a cylindrical first actuation member, a cylindrical second actuation member, a second pin for fastening the first actuation member and the link together; a biasing member biased between the first stop member and the first actuation member; and a knob at a cap. A retaining device is also provided so that the sliding tube can slide in a transverse channel of retaining device, thereby adjusting length of the sliding tube.
Abstract:
Supports for a table saw blade assembly are provided and each support includes an elongated L-shaped bracket releasably secured to the upper cutting surface and including a curved slot; a pivotal plate including a projection slidable in the curved slot, and two holes through the projection and the pivotal plate; a first clamping plate; and a second clamping plate. The first clamping plate, the bracket, the pivotal plate, and the second clamping plate are fastened together with the pivotal plate being capable of sliding along the curved slot.
Abstract:
A table saw includes a movable rip fence and a base including an upper cutting surface through which a blade extends. The rip fence includes front and rear clamping mechanisms connected to front and rear ends of a casing respectively. The front clamping mechanism includes a frame, a lever pivotably secured to the frame to be pivotal between a locked position and a released position, the lever having an internal cam member, a clamping member pivotably secured to the lever, the clamping member having a hook at an open end, a spring biased shaft, and a C-clip for retaining an inner end of the shaft in the frame. A pivotal movement of both the lever and the clamping member causes the cam member to push the shaft inward until the shaft is pushed outward to urge against the cam member in the locked position.
Abstract:
A magazine of nail gun is provided with a nail receptacle; a cover slidably mounted on the receptacle; a cavity on an uneven bottom of the cover; a first hole from the cover to the cavity; a spring biased button in the first hole; a first retaining member secured to the button and urging against a bottom of the cavity so as to retain the button; a second hole through the receptacle and aligned with the first hole; a spring biased detent in the second hole and projecting out of the second hole to urge against a bottom of the button; and a second retaining member secured to the detent and urging against the bottom of the receptacle so as to retain the detent. The cover is locked by the receptacle in a storage position of the magazine.
Abstract:
An adjusting device for a table saw includes a pivot rod adapted to be longitudinally mounted under a tabletop of the table saw, a panel extending downward from the tabletop, a rotatable seat pivotally mounted on the pivot rod, a pivotal seat pivotally mounted on the rotatable seat, and a set of adjusting elements respectively mounted on the rotatable seat and the pivotal seat for adjusting a height and an angle of a saw blade of the table saw. The set of adjusting elements includes a threaded rod provided to precisely adjust the height of a saw blade and a gear provided to precisely adjust the angle of the saw blade of the table saw.
Abstract:
A table saw having a blade suspension structure includes a work table formed with a cutting slot for passage of a circular blade. A bent suspension rod is secured on the bottom of the work table, and is located adjacent to the cutting slot of the work table. The suspension rod having a distal end formed with a bent pivot shaft which is located adjacent to the circular blade and is in parallel with the circular blade, thereby apparently reducing a distance between the pivot shaft and the circular blade, and thereby reducing the swivel radius of the circular blade.
