Abstract:
A straight fixed cutter is mounted on a frame, a movable cutter carrier slidably supported on the frame to be moved along the fixed cutter. A movable cutter having a disc shape is rotatably mounted on the carrier, and contacted with the fixed cutter. A movable cutter rotating roller is rotatably mounted on the movable cutter carrier and resiliently contacted with the fixed cutter. An endless belt is provided in the frame along the fixed cutter, and connected with the movable cutter carrier. The movable cutter carrier is moved by the endless belt, and the movable cutter is rotated along the fixed cutter to cut a paper sheet mounted on the fixed cutter.
Abstract:
A longitudinal cutting machine having a plurality of blade holders disposed on at least one traverse that extends over the length of the longitudinal cutting machine is provided. So that the blade holders can each be removed independently of one another from the traverse, the individual blade holders are releasably mounted by two spaced-apart claws on associated profiled members that are mounted on the traverse. One of the claws is movable relative to the blade holder and can be fixed in position by means of an adjusting unit. When the adjusting unit is loosened, then by pivoting of the blade holder about one of the two claws, which pivoting is made possible by a deflecting movement of the movable claw, the other claw is released from the associated profiled member and the blade holder is removable from the traverse.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a microtome (1) for producing thin slices for microscopy, which is provided with a base (2), a blade holder (3) for holding a cutting blade (4) and an object holder (5) for holding the object (6) to be cut. Cutting occurs in a plane by a relative movement between the object (6) and the cutting blade (4) To produce the relative movement, a rotating component (7) is provided with a drive motor (17), wherein the rotating axis of the rotating component (7) is arranged obliquely to the base (2), and a feed slide (9) is provided with a linear guide for setting the slice thickness. The structure of said feed slide (9) is such that it is removable via a feed motor (17) and a control circuit (14) connected thereto.
Abstract:
A circular saw includes a table for placing a workpiece thereon, a saw unit having a circular saw blade mounted thereon, and a support mechanism for supporting the saw unit on the table, so that the saw unit is movable in forward and rearward directions. A lock device includes a lock member that is movable between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the lock member permits the saw unit to move in both forward and rearward directions. In the second position, the lock member prevents the saw unit from moving in one of the forward and rearward directions.
Abstract:
A bevel miter saw is provided having a switch handle that is ergonomically rotatable to a selected predetermined position as provided by a detent mechanism. An embodiment of the detent mechanism includes a detent member having radially directed slots, and a detent pin movable in a generally radial direction relative to the slots. Furthermore, a safety feature is provided wherein the detent pin is mounted to a lever including a projection that obstructs a trigger switch in the handle when the detent pin is not engaged in one of the detent slots so that the handle could rotate.
Abstract:
A table saw having a blade suspension structure includes a work table formed with a cutting slot for passage of a circular blade. A bent suspension rod is secured on the bottom of the work table, and is located adjacent to the cutting slot of the work table. The suspension rod having a distal end formed with a bent pivot shaft which is located adjacent to the circular blade and is in parallel with the circular blade, thereby apparently reducing a distance between the pivot shaft and the circular blade, and thereby reducing the swivel radius of the circular blade.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a cutting device for products, in particular for cutting up foodstuffs. A blade driven by a drive shaft so as to rotate is provided which orbits a further drive shaft in a planetary path-like manner on a rotor driven by the further drive shaft. For a compact arrangement it is provided that the one drive shaft is designed as a hollow shaft and that the other drive shaft is guided therein.
Abstract:
A bank cutter positioning device installed in a cutter seat at a side having a dovetail groove comprises a locking block, an elastic element, a roller and a handle. The locking block having an end pivotally installed above the dovetail groove. The elastic element installed between a resisting surface of the seat and a locking block. The roller pivotally at another end of the locking block. Therefore, by moving the handle, the roller of the locking block will move circularly on the sliding surface and curved surface at the lower side of the handle so as to control the releasing and locking operation of the locking block. The roller causes the driving distance between the locking block and the handle to reduce to suit a dovetail seat with a contact surface having a small tilt angle, and has the effects of rapid positioning and detaching.
Abstract:
A process for demounting a tire P, and a tread-bearing support S internal thereto, from an integral mounting rim J, which comprises first and second rim seats, the two rim seats being inclined towards the outside and extended axially to the outside by projections of low height. The process includes the steps of inserting, into a lubricated gap between the toe of the first bead Bo and the corresponding rim seat, a demounting insert I in the form of a portion of a circular ring of triangular meridian section of small dimensions, and then ejecting the first bead Bo from the rim J before or simultaneously with the ejection of the tire/support assembly.
Abstract:
An automatic microtome is disclosed which comprises a base, a knife-holder mounted on the base for supporting a microtome knife, a specimen holder mounted for longitudinal movement relative to the base towards and away from the knife-holder and also mounted for transverse movement relative to the knife holder for displacing a specimen held by the specimen holder relative to a knife mounted in the knife holder for cutting sections from such specimen. The knife holder is mounted directly on the base without provision for adjustment of the position of the knife holder on the base such as to vary the location of the knife edge in relation to said edge, and the specimen holder is designed to provide enhanced stability over a wide range of longitudinal positions the specimen holder. Thus, the specimen holder comprises a slide mounted for longitudinal movement in a bearing arrangement including first and second bearing elements at longitudinally spaced positions along the slide, and limiting transverse movement of the slide in one direction and a third bearing element at a longitudinal position intermediate the first-mentioned longitudinally spaced positions and biased towards the slide so as to urge the latter into engagement with said first and second bearing elements. The knife holder and base have cooperating arcuate bearing surfaces permitting angular movement of the knife holder relative to the base about the axis of curvature of the bearing surfaces with concomitant sliding movement of one of said arcuate surfaces over the other. A locating device is adjustably secured to the knife holder for cooperation with a datum provided on the base to ensure that with the locating device fixed to the knife holder the angular position of the knife holder on the base at which the locating device cooperates with the datum can readily be established.
