Abstract:
A patterned thin-film layer (100) includes a substrate (102), a plurality of banks (104) formed on the substrate and a plurality of thin-film layers (106). The plurality of banks define a plurality of spaces therein, and the spaces are arranged in rows and columns. The plurality of patterned thin-film layers formed in the plurality of spaces in a manner such that the patterned thin-film layers made of a same material in each row have an irregular thickness distribution. A method for manufacturing a patterned thin-film layer is also provided.
Abstract:
An exemplary method for manufacturing a substrate structure includes steps of: providing a substrate; forming a plurality of isolated protrusions on the substrate; depositing ink onto the protrusions; and solidifying the ink to form a plurality of ink layers on the respective protrusions. This method can create ink layers with uniform thickness. A substrate structure having ink layers is also included.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a patterned thin-film layer includes the steps of: providing a substrate with a plurality of banks thereon, the plurality of banks defining a plurality of spaces; providing an ink-jet device comprising a plurality of nozzles for depositing ink therefrom; generating a jetting information about ink volume that each of the nozzles deposits into the respective spaces by a random method, the jetting information meeting ink volume deposited into each of the spaces is in a range from about 92.5% to about 107.5% of an average volume of ink in the spaces; making the nozzles to deposit ink into the respective spaces according to the jetting information; and solidifying the ink so as to form a plurality of patterned thin-film layers formed in the spaces.
Abstract:
A color filter includes a transparent substrate, a black matrix formed on the transparent substrate, a plurality of banks superposed on the black matrix, and a color layer formed of R, G and B color portions. The black matrix defines a plurality of sub-pixels of the color filter. The banks and the black matrix enclose a plurality of spaces for respectively accommodating the R, G and B color portions. Wherein, a plurality of groups is defined, each group includes a plurality of sub-pixels of concolorous color portions, at least one channel is formed on the bank between adjacent sub-pixels of concolorous color portions in the group. In a manufacturing method for the color filter, the ink can flow over between the adjacent sub-pixels in a defined group and level through the channel, thus the uniformity of the color portions can be improved.
Abstract:
An inkjet pen including an ink reservoir for storing ink and providing ink for jetting. A port, located on top of the ink reservoir, fluid-communicated with the ambient air, is used for adjusting the air pressure inside the reservoir. A valve, operated by a spring or a resilient element, normally seals the port, while occasionally opening the port to introduce air into the reservoir when the ink level is low and the underpressure rises. In other embodiments, an elastic bag is included in the reservoir that has an opening communicated with the ambient air through a second port formed on top of the reservoir. The elastic bag expands in response to the increasing underpressure generated in the reservoir when ink is being used. The bag expansion actuates the opening of the valve so as to regulate the underpressure.

A thin-film layer structure (100) includes a substrate (102), a plurality of banks (104) with a roughly same height formed on the substrate, and a plurality of thin-film layers (106). The plurality of banks defines a plurality of spaces therein, and the plurality of spaces is arranged in rows and columns. A volume distribution of the plurality of spaces receiving the thin-film layers made of a same material in each row is irregular. A method for manufacturing a thin-film layer structure is also provided.
Abstract:
A substrate structure includes a substrate, a number of banks formed on the substrate, and a patterned layer. The banks and the substrate cooperatively define a number of accommodating rooms. The accommodating rooms are configured for accommodating ink. The patterned layer covers the bank between at least two adjacent accommodating rooms.
Abstract:
A color filter (100) includes a substrate, a black matrix formed on the substrate, and a plurality of color stripes. The black matrix defines a plurality of spaces therein, and the black matrix includes carbon black in a proportion by weight from 5% to 55%, polymer in a proportion by weight from 15% to 95%, and additives in a proportion by weight of less than or equal to 40%. The plurality of color stripes are formed by a ink-jet process in the spaces. A method for manufacturing a color filter is also provided.
Abstract:
This specification discloses an electrode type print head for the printing apparatus and the method for manufacturing the same. The print head is placed in the inkjet cartridge of an inkjet-printing device. The print head comprises a substrate and a flexible nozzle plate with an ink reservoir formed in between. The flexible nozzle plate is attached onto the substrate, and the electrode set of the flexible nozzle plate corresponds to that of the substrate. When currents of different polarities are provided thereon, an absorptive force is generated to pull the flexible nozzle plate closer to the substrate. A pushing force jets the ink out of the print head and onto a printing media to achieve the goal of inkjet printing.
