Abstract:
An electrical connector includes terminals and a base formed with terminal slots each having opposite first walls and second walls. Pressing a metal plate forms a material tape and the continuous terminals connected thereto. Each terminal, assembled within the corresponding slot and then separated from the tape, has a cut surface, a plate surface, a fixing portion, an elastic arm and a pin portion. The fixing portion has a plate surface close to the first wall. The arm is connected to the fixing portion and has a plate surface, which extends longitudinally and slantingly upwards in a direction toward one side of the fixing portion and extends across the second wall to a location above the neighboring terminal slot. A connection point near a distal end of the arm is formed, and the pin portion disposed below the fixing portion extends downwards to a bottom end of the base.
Abstract:
A multi-card connector assembly includes a mainboard on which a mainboard connector is disposed, a multi-card connector, and a circuit board, on which traces and a connection interface are formed. The multi-card connector includes a common seat formed with a plurality of slots into which different electrical cards may be inserted, and terminals disposed on the common seat. Each terminal has a pin extending out of a bottom surface of the common seat. Each trace has a first terminal and a second terminal, which are disposed on a plane of the circuit board. The first terminals of the traces are arranged in correspondence with the pins of the terminals of the multi-card connector such that the pins of the terminals are respectively soldered to the first terminals of the traces. The connection interface is electrically connected to the second terminals of the traces and is flexibly and electrically connected to the mainboard connector.
Abstract:
A terminal structure to be assembled in a terminal slot is integrally formed by pressing a metal plate having first and second surfaces. The terminal structure includes a fixing portion and an elastic arm. The first surface of the fixing portion is fixed in the slot and is wider. The arm is connected to the fixing portion. Over 70% of the first surface of the arm are disposed on the same plane and the first surface of the arm has a curved shape. The first surface of the arm is narrower than the first surface of the fixing portion. An angle smaller than 30 degrees is formed between the first surfaces of the arm and the fixing portion. A top end of the arm exceeds a top end of the fixing portion, and is formed with a movable contact.
Abstract:
An electrical connector to be electrically connected to a transmission cable plug. The connector includes a plastic base, a metal housing and at least one fastening assembly. At least one connection slot and a plurality of terminals are formed on the plastic base. Each of the terminals has a pin portion extending out of the plastic base. The metal housing covers the plastic base while exposing the at least one connection slot of the plastic base and the pin portions of the terminals to the outside. The at least one fastening assembly contacts the metal housing and thus is electrically connected to a circuit board. The at least one fastening assembly and the metal housing pertain to different parts.
Abstract:
A lateral engaging structure of an electrical connector is disposed at one side of a plastic base of the connector to engage with an inserted circuit board. The structure includes a main body and an elastic arm. The main body has vertical first and transversal plates. The first plate is connected to the plastic base. The transversal plate is disposed at a front end of the first plate and extends in a direction perpendicular to the first plate. The transversal plate is formed with a step including a first surface, a second surface and a vertical stopping surface. The elastic arm has a rear end connected to the first plate, a front section engaging with the circuit board, and a front end formed with a stopping portion, which protrudes forward and is disposed below the first surface.
Abstract:
An electrical connector includes a base, solder balls, terminals and locking members. The base is formed with terminal slots and solder ball slots. The terminal slots respectively communicate with the solder ball slots via channels. The solder balls are respectively disposed in the solder ball slots. Each solder ball has a bottom protruding beyond a bottom of the base. Each ball contacts a bottom surface of the solder ball slot disposed between the terminal slot and the solder ball. The terminals are respectively disposed in the terminal slots and electrically connected to the solder balls. The terminals have contacts extending in a direction toward tops of the terminal slots. The locking members are separated from the terminals and respectively inserted into the solder ball slots. Each locking member locks up at one side of the solder ball to prevent the solder ball from escaping out of the solder ball slot.
Abstract:
An electrical connector includes a first base, a second base and a positioning structure. The first base has a plurality of terminals, a connection portion, two extensions formed at two sides of the connection portion, and a chamber defined by the connection portion and the extensions, and each of the plurality of terminals has a horizontal pin to be connected to a printed circuit board. The second base has a plurality of terminals, the second base is positioned in the chamber of the first base, and each of the plurality of terminals has a horizontal pin to be connected to the printed circuit board. The positioning structure is formed on the first base and the second base to make the second base vertically movable and to horizontally restrict the second base in the chamber of the first base. The connection portion is higher than the second base.
Abstract:
An engagement structure for engaging with a circuit board formed with first and second notches includes an elastic engagement arm and an elastic ejection arm. The engagement arm can be elastically and laterally moved and has a resting portion protruding laterally and an engagement portion for engaging with the first notch. The ejection arm can be elastically and laterally moved and has a touching portion and an inverse hook. The inverse hook is formed with a guiding bevel and a hooking surface. When the ejection arm is pushed laterally, the engagement portion gradually escapes from the second notch, the guiding bevel gradually presses the circuit board through the first notch, and the ejection arm deforms elastically. When the inverse hook completely passes through the first notch and makes the engagement portion escape from the second notch, the ejection arm rebounds such that the hooking surface hooks the circuit board.

Abstract:
An electrical connector having a seamless metal housing and a method for manufacturing the same. The electrical connector includes a plastic base and a metal housing. The housing shields a connection portion of the plastic base and is integrally formed with a top surface and a plurality of circumferential surfaces to define a chamber having an opened bottom end. At least one surface among the circumferential surfaces and the top surface is formed with an opening to expose the connection portion of the plastic base. No seam is formed between any adjacent two surfaces among the top surface and the circumferential surfaces.
