摘要： A sleeper bunk restraining system includes a sleeper bunk configured to be carried by a vehicle and having a top surfaced defining a length upon which an occupant may rest. The bunk includes a stationary portion and a moveable portion defined along the length, and the moveable portion is movable toward the stationary portion to form an occupant restraining barrier. A restraining member may be included and is configured for releasable connection to the vehicle such that the restraining member restrains movement of the movable portion of the bunk relative to the stationary portion of the bunk to thereby maintain the occupant restraining barrier in an occupant restraining position.

摘要： A restraint system for moving a vehicle seat and occupant toward the vehicle floor. Fluid cylinders or rotary spoolers are mounted to the seat and have respectively a pair of extendable piston rods or rotary outputs connected via rods or flexible members to a cable slidably mounted to the seat with one cable end connected to the buckle of a three point belt assembly mounted to the seat and an opposite end connected to one end of the lap portion of the belt assembly. Activation causes the cable to be pulled tensioning the belt assembly and application of downward pressure to the seat.

摘要： A D-loop web belt gripper to releasably grip a web belt is disclosed. The D-loop web belt gripper includes a frame, a web belt gripping component, and a web belt actuating component. The web belt gripping component is a wedge having a plurality of web belt gripping teeth spatially biased away from a base member of the frame. The web belt actuating components is a bail having a lever arm, a pair of guide walls pivotally adjoined to a pair of guide walls of the frame, and a pair of drivers abutting the wedge. A first portion of a web belt is disposable between the web belt gripping teeth and the base member of the frame, and a second portion of the web belt is arcuately disposable upon the lever arm to form an arcuation in the second portion of the web belt. A forcible unbending of the arcuation in the second portion of the web belt can pivot the bail via the lever arm causing the drivers of the bail to displace the web belt gripping teeth of the wedge in the direction of the base member of the frame.

摘要： An apparatus for restraining an object in a vehicle may have an elongated frame, a clamp member mounted to the frame at or near one end thereof, and an elongated base member movably mounted to the frame between the clamp member and an opposite end of the frame. The base member may include a curved portion having a support surface defining a curvature and a linear portion between the curved portion and the clamp member. The base member may be movable relative to the frame to an object transition position in which a free end of the linear portion extends outwardly away from the frame and the curved portion retracts upwardly toward the clamp member along a path defined by the curvature to allow the object to be received between, and removed from between, the clamp member and the support surface of the base member.

An open-ended housing has a base and defines an opening through the base into an interior of the housing. A sealing member is positioned about the opening to form a hermetic seal between the spool shaft and the opening. A cover is hermetically attached to the open end of the housing.

摘要： A restraint system for moving a vehicle seat and occupant toward the vehicle floor. In one embodiment a fluid cylinder pivotally mounted to the floor has an extendable piston rod connected to a linkage mounted to the vehicle seat. A three point belt assembly mounted to the seat is connected to the cylinder rod. Retraction of the cylinder rod pretensions or tightens the three point buckle assembly and subsequently moves the seat towards the vehicle floor. In an alternate embodiment a displacement member including at least a flexible portion is connected at one end to a piston within a fluid cylinder and is connected at the other end to the linkage. An angle between 0 and 180 degrees is imparted to the flexible portion of the displacement member, allowing the cylinder to be oriented in alternate directions for space efficiency. Retraction of the cylinder rod tightens the three point buckle assembly and moves the seat towards the vehicle floor.
