    摘要： An electronic device includes a radio tuner capable of receiving broadcast media contents and information about each of the broadcast media contents from a plurality of radio stations; a user communication interface configured for receiving from a user a list of desired broadcast media contents; a memory; and a processor. According to the invention the processor is responsible for accessing the list of desired broadcast media contents stored in the memory; the radio tuner is controlled to detect the radio stations to retrieve information of the broadcast media contents that are currently being, or are in the near future to be, broadcast from the radio stations; the retrieved information is compared with the list of desired broadcast media contents; and the user is alerted via the user communication interface if the comparison reveals that a broadcast media content that is currently being, or are in the near future to be, broadcast is comprised in the list of desired broadcast media contents.

A processor unit in the device organizes the selectable items in groups with a predetermined static sequence. The processor unit also maintains dynamic subgroups of preferred items. When the items in a group are being displayed in an available display area, the processor unit shows the subgroup of preferred items before the group of standard items. The first item in the group of standard items is highlighted and the user can either scroll towards the items in the subgroup of preferred items or to the standard items in the group.

    摘要： A device for intelligently adjusting a volume level for call/message alerts includes a processor, an interface(s), a memory, a timer and a volume adjuster. The processor receives a call(s)/message(s) and causes the memory to store data associated with the call(s)/message(s). The processor invokes a timer and instructs a ringer to generate a call/message alert. The processor receives an additional call(s)/message(s) and determines if these calls/messages are sent from the same user of an electronic device as a previous call/message within a time period. If a previous call/message was missed by a user of a terminal, the processor causes a ringer to increase the volume of a subsequent call/message sent from the user of the electronic device. If a previous call/message was rejected by a user of a terminal, the processor causes the ringer to decrease the volume of a subsequent call/message sent from the user of the electronic device.

While watching television with sub-titles activated, a terminal user may be offered a short-cut and/or one or more options which will use a current (or recently occurring) subtitle for other purposes. A user may be given an opportunity to use the subtitle text for sending the subtitle as message, storing the subtitle as a calendar note, etc. In accordance with another embodiment, subtitles of media content running in the background on a media content receiver terminal may be scanned based on configurable criteria input by a user. If there is a match, the user will be notified via an alarm and may change to the media channel on which the match was found.
