IDj), and triggering means (MDCL) configured for causing a triggering of the said anticollision procedure between the said object and the said item of equipment.

A method for managing the access to a memory space shareable by several users, by using passwords, comprises: defining a maximum number of passwords, providing a password storage zone, dividing the shareable memory space into a plurality of blocks greater in number than the maximum number of passwords, providing in each block a parameterization field for parameterizing the protection of the block, providing in each parameterization field a binary index smaller in size than a password and designating a password assigned to the protection of the block, and allocating, to each block, access rights requiring a password to be presented corresponding to the password designated by the index present in the block parameterization field. Application is provided particularly but not exclusively to multi-user integrated circuits.

The invention concerns an inductive element for forming an electromagnetic transponder antenna, comprising a first group of mutually parallel conductors coplanar in a first plane, a second group of mutually parallel conductors coplanar in a second plane parallel to the first plane, and an insulating material separating the two groups of conductors, one end of each conductor of the first group being connected to one end of a conductor of the second group whereof the other end is connected to one end of another conductor of the first group, the connections between the conductors being conductive via holes in the thickness of the insulating material.

An anti-collision method to identify and select contactless electronic modules (MDL) by a terminal is provided. A module may generate a random identification number prior to a communication, and respond to a general or complementary identification request on a time slot that varies according to its identification number. A non-selected module may generate a new random identification number when it receives a complementary identification request. Thus, the time slot of a non-selected module provided in response to a complementary identification request is not statistically the same as its time slot in response to a previous identification request, and it varies according to its identification number (ID).

An inductive coupling reader includes a passive interface circuit for modulating the impedance of an antenna circuit and extracting from the antenna circuit a data signal and a RF clock signal, and circuitry for coupling the reader to a removable security module. The reader includes an emulation circuit for opening a RF transmission channel with another reader, a non-removable electrical link linking the emulation circuit to the passive interface circuit, by which the data signal and the RF clock signal are supplied to the emulation circuit, and a data bus clocked by a bus clock signal having a frequency inferior to the frequency of the RF clock signal, for linking the emulation circuit to the removable security module. The reader has low electrical consumption.

An electrically erasable and programmable non-volatile semiconductor memory includes memory registers that are addressable individually or by blocks. The memory also has a protection register in which a protection word can be written. The protection word has a given number of bits that encode a boundary address of the memory register or a block of memory registers. The boundary address divides the memory space into an upper zone and a lower zone. The protection word also has a zone bit whose value determines which of the two zones of the memory is to be write protectable.

A portable object includes an antenna and a processor coupled to the antenna.
