    摘要: A direction finding system can be configurable to: (i) access a baseline neural network initially configured to imitate behavior of a two-argument arctangent function; (ii) apply transfer learning to the baseline neural network to generate a calibrated neural network, wherein the transfer learning calibrates the baseline neural network to perform Watson-Watt direction finding without utilizing a lookup table for error correction; (iii) access measurement data acquired via the direction finding sensor array; (iv) generate preprocessed data by applying one or more preprocessing operations to the measurement data; (v) utilize the preprocessed data as input to the calibrated neural network; and (vi) output angle of arrival data, the angle of arrival data comprising output of the calibrated neural network.

Respective selected portions of the UWB signal are transmitted by the transmitter via each of the two transmit antennas and are received at the receive antenna. By comparing the phases of the received signal portions, the phase difference of departure can be determined. From this phase difference the known distance, d, between the transmit antennas the Cartesian (x, y) location of the transmitter relative to the receiver can be directly determined.

    摘要: A direction finding antenna includes a substrate, a reflecting ring, and a plurality of radiating elements, wherein the substrate has a surface. The reflecting ring is disposed on the surface of the substrate and is formed by connecting a plurality of side wires and is a closed polygon. Each of the side wires forms a reflector. The radiating elements are disposed on the surface of the substrate and are respectively located on an outside of the side wires, and each of the radiating elements corresponds to one of the side wires. Each of the side wires and each of the corresponding radiating elements form an antenna structure, and the antenna structures face different directions, thereby providing the needed accuracy of direction finding in different directions.
