Abstract: Techniques for coordinating traffic statistics and managing accounting sessions for multi-link operation are provided. A first communications link with a second network device is established by a first network device. A first accounting request to a third network device is transmitted by the first network device, where the first accounting request indicates that the second network device comprises a station multi-link device (STA MLD). A first accounting response is received by the first network device, indicating whether the third network device supports statistic aggregation. Traffic statistics for the first communication link is collected by the first network device, and reported to the third network device in accordance with the first accounting response.

Abstract: Embodiments herein describe using transmission codes for ambient power stations (AMP STAs) so multiple AMP STAs can transmit in parallel to a Wi-Fi access point (AP). In order for the AMP STAs to transmit in parallel, the STAs use different codes. In one embodiment, the AMP STAs can use random timers to determine when they transmit and select a code to use during transmission. Before the timer expires, the AMP STAs can listen to see whether other AMP STAs are using the same code (e.g., a collision), and if so, select a different code. However, some AMP STAs may not have the ability to detect a collision. In that case, the AP can determine collisions for the AMP STAs and instruct the AMP STAs to select different codes.

Abstract: Enhanced network level information for power control is described. The enhanced network level information enables network connected electronic devices to enter and exit standby modes based on system level information. The network level information also enables the use of a respective network connected device in a seamless manner from the perspective of the user, while decreasing the amount of energy consumed by the device when not in active operation. In some examples, a Network Monitoring Application (NMA) classifies electronic devices into power control categories, monitors a physical environment associated with the plurality of connected electronic devices, and provides a power control signal to the various electronic devices upon detection of a change in the physical environment.

Abstract: Embodiments herein use a 5G node to provide supplemental power to an AMP STA to assist with Wi-Fi communication. Wi-Fi APs may not provide sufficient power wirelessly for the AMP STA to transmit data, or to transmit data as frequently as desired by the AMP STA. A controller can determine when an AMP STA is not receiving sufficient wireless power and provides instructions to a 5G node to provide supplemental power to the AMP STA. The AMP STA can use the power received from the 5G node to transmit Wi-Fi data to the AP.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a wireless network in which an access point determines and selects alternative devices to make transmissions for energy harvesting purposes. The access point includes a memory and a processor communicatively coupled to the memory. The processor determines, based on a proximity of a first device to a second device, that the second device should harvest energy from a message transmitted by the first device, determines a first basic service set (BSS) color that the first device and the second device should use for the second device to harvest energy from the message, and communicates, to the first device, an instruction to use the first BSS color when transmitting the message.

Abstract: Techniques for improved multi-link operations are provided. A first link between a first access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD) and a non-AP MLD is established. A first idle timeout timer is generated for the first link, and an indication of one or more links between the non-AP MLD and a second AP MLD is received from the non-AP MLD. An indication of the first link is transmitted to the second AP MLD and from the first AP MLD. In response to determining that one or more link termination criteria are satisfied with respect to the first link, the first link is terminated, where subsequent to terminating the first link, the non-AP MLD continues to exchange data with the second AP MLD using the one or more links.
