    摘要: The present invention relates to a semiconductive polymer composition comprising an olefin homo- or copolymer wherein the composition has a direct current volume resistivity of less than 1000 Ohm·cm at 90° C., an elongation at break which after aging for 240 hours at 135° C. does not change by more than 25%, and a total number of structures of 20 or less in the SIED test. Furthermore, the present invention relates to an electric power cable comprising a conductor, a semiconducting layer and, adjacent to the semiconducting layer, an insulation layer, wherein the semiconducting layer is formed by said semiconductive polymer composition and to the use of said semiconducting polymer composition for the production of a semiconductive layer of an electric power cable.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a polyethylene composition comprising: a) a polyethylene having cross-linkable silicon-containing groups (A); and b) a masterbatch comprising—one or more additives; and—a carrier comprising a C3-C5 alpha-olefin homo or copolymer (B). The present invention further relates to a cross-linked polyethylene composition obtainable by treating the composition according to any one of the preceding claims under cross-linking conditions. The present invention also relates to the following uses: Use of a masterbatch comprising—an additive; and—a carrier comprising a C3-C5 alpha-olefin homo- or copolymer (B) for adding an additive to a polyethylene with cross-linkable silicon-containing groups. Use of C3-C5 alpha-olefin homo- or copolymer (B) as carrier for additive(s) to improve the performance of a silanol condensation catalyst when cross-linking a polyethylene composition further comprising a polyethylene with cross-linkable silicon-containing groups.

    摘要: Polymerizable unsaturated polyester compositions are provided, particularly useful in the manufacture of multilayer laminates, consisting essentially of(1) a polyester of a polyhydric alcohol and a polycarboxylic acid, at least one of which is ethylenically unsaturated;(2) a monomer copolymerizable with the unsaturated polyester and having a boiling point below 150.degree. C.;(3) an additive forming a film on the polyester surface that inhibits volatilization of monomer from the polyester composition; and(4) a hydrophobic compound soluble at least in part both in the unsaturated polyester and in the film-forming additive that either(a) has an isoprene unit structure, or(b) is acyclic and has at least one ester and/or ether bond; and at least two terminal hydrocarbon groups, each with at least one ethylenically unsaturated group.
