Abstract: Disclosed are an electrode, a preparation method therefor, a battery, and a power consuming device. The electrode according to an embodiment of the present application comprises a current collector and active layers bonded to the current collector, wherein the active layers include a first active layer and a second active layer, the first active layer is bonded to the current collector, the second active layer is bonded to the surface of the first active layer that faces away from the current collector, and the second active layer has a porosity lager than that of the first active layer. The electrode has a high energy density and structural stability and an excellent cycling performance, resulting in a safe battery. The method for preparing an electrode as disclosed results in an electrode with a stable structure and electrochemical performance, and a high efficiency, while saving the production cost.

Abstract: A cell includes a housing having an opening orientated towards a first direction, an end cover assembly configured to cover the opening and including an end cover body and two kinds of electrode terminals having opposite polarities, and at least two electrode assembly groups arranged in parallel in the housing in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. Each electrode assembly group includes at least one electrode assembly each including a main part and two kinds of battery tabs having opposite polarities and led out from the main part. Two adjacent battery tabs in every two adjacent electrode assembly groups have a same polarity and are connected in common to an electrode terminal having the same polarity. Two battery tabs away from each other in every two adjacent electrode assembly groups have a same polarity and are connected to an electrode terminal having the same polarity.
