Abstract: A beverage machine includes a valve that receives a base fluid and dispenses a mixed beverage comprising the base fluid and an additive fluid. The valve has a bore through which the base fluid flows, and the bore has a perimetral surface that defines a plurality of ports through which the additive fluid is injected to thereby mix with the base fluid. An injector is coupled to the valve and configured to radially inject the additive fluid into the base fluid through the plurality of ports as the base fluid flows through the bore such that the additive fluid mixes into the base fluid to form the mixed beverage.

Abstract: A beverage dispensing system includes a plurality of beverage sources each containing a beverage component, and at least one flow valve connected to one or more of the beverage sources and operable to control a flow of the beverage component therefrom. The system further includes a graphical display that presents a plurality of available beverages and a gesture capture device that receives a selection gesture input to select a beverage from the plurality of available beverages. A controller is also included that adjusts the at least one flow valve based on the selection gesture input to dispense the selected beverage.

Abstract: A beverage dispenser for dispensing either a hot or cold beverage, for example tea, from a common mixing chamber and a method for making and/or operating the same is disclosed. The dispense has a source of hot water, usually a heater, and a source of water, a refrigeration system to cool the water and one or more sources of flavor. The hot or cold water, or both can be provided to the common or same, mixing chamber and mixed assisted with a static and/or dynamic mixer and then dispensed. The last portion of the water is used to rinse for the next beverage. Flavor or syrup pump current is sensed to provide the appropriate amount of flavor concentrate to a known quantity of water to form a beverage of appropriate strength or syrup.

Abstract: A system for automatically dispensing beverages according to a drink order. The system includes a conveyor that conveys a plurality of cup holders in and between a cup receiving location, a dispensing location, and a serving location. A cup dispenser is configured to dispense a cup into each of the plurality of cup holders at the cup receiving location. A plurality of additive dispensers is configured to dispense additives to the cup at the dispensing location. A controller is configured to receive the drink order, create a recipe from the drink order and link the recipe with one of the plurality of cup holders via a marker, dispense a cup to the cup holder via the cup dispenser, and thereafter control the conveyor and the plurality of additive dispensers so that the cup is filled with a beverage according to the recipe and then conveyed to the serving location.
