摘要： A combine side-shaking control system and a method for controlling operation of a side-shaking mechanism in a combine. The control system includes at least one sieve for separating crop material from other materials and a movable side-shaking mechanism coupled to the at least one sieve and configured to move the at least one sieve in a side-to-side motion. The control system also includes at least one sensor for sensing at least one operating condition of a combine system. The control system further includes a controller for receiving the at least one operating condition and causing the side-shaking mechanism to stop moving the at least one sieve in the side-to-side motion or start moving the at least one sieve in the side-to-side motion based on the at least one operating condition.

摘要： An apparatus for use in combination with a combine for sensing the volume of tailings exhausted from a cleaning section of the combine and for providing a visual indication to the operator of the effectiveness of combine operation. The combine includes a mobile frame or chassis having an operator compartment arranged toward a forward end thereof. A threshing section of the combine separates grain from crop material delivered thereto. A cleaning section of the combine functions to remove chaff and tailings from the materials received from the threshing section. A tailings section of the combine is arranged to receive incompletely threshed and separated tailings from the cleaning section. The tailings section comprises a tailings conveyor for forcibly moving tailings toward an elevator that moves the tailings to one of the other sections on the combine for recycling. The sensing apparatus of the present invention is arranged proximate to the inlet to the tailings elevator and provides a visual indication in the cab region of the combine of the volume of tailings presented for recycling thus revealing the efficiency of the combine.

摘要： A foldable extension for increasing a grain holding capacity of a grain tank of an agricultural harvesting machine. The grain tank includes angularly related upper peripheral portions defining an upwardly facing opening, and the extension includes a corresponding number of extension panels mounted for pivotal movement about the respective upper peripheral portions of the grain tank. Each of the extension panels is pivotally positionable in a deployed position extending upwardly and outwardly relative to the opening of the grain tank at an acute angle of less than about 80° to horizontal, and a generally horizontal folded position extending over a portion of the opening, adjacent ones of the extension panels having adjacent ends defining corner spaces therebetween when in the deployed position. The extension additionally includes foldable corner panels connected between the adjacent ends of the adjacent ones of the extension panels, respectively, each of the corner panels including hinge joints hingedly connecting the corner panel to the adjacent ends and additional hinge joints dividing the corner panel into sections hingedly movable in predetermined directions between predetermined positions about the hinge joints, such that when the extension panels are in the deployed position the sections will be located in a generally side-by-side predetermined relation extending upwardly and outwardly from the opening of the grain tank, and such that when the extension panels are in the folded position the sections will be at least generally horizontal and in overlaying relation one relative to another.

摘要： A crop harvesting header for a combine wherein the header includes a transversely elongated frame having opposite side walls. A cutterbar extends between the side walls and is supported from the header frame for floating movement relative thereto as induced by varying ground profile. The cutterbar is connected to the forward ends of a plurality of transversely spaced runners pivotally connected to the header frame. One of the runners is disposed at an end of the header frame adjacent to one of the side walls. Reciprocating drive for the cutterbar is provided by a wobble drive mounted on the end runner and a belt drive therefor mounted on the adjacent side wall. A belt tightener pulley assembly is pivotally mounted on the side wall. A mechanical linkage directly interconnects the pulley assembly with the end runner such that the pulley assembly is shifted in response to movement of the end runner to provide substantially instantaneous change in belt drive geometry created by and to compensate for cutterbar movement relative to the header.

摘要： A crop harvesting header for a self-propelled combine. The header includes a "floating" flexible cutterbar movable vertically relative to the header frame to cut a standing crop (soybeans, for example) close to the ground to minimize crop losses. The cutterbar is connected to a plurality of runner structures pivotally mounted on the header frame. A spring system is operative on the runner structures to resiliently counterbalance the cutterbar. Structure is adjustably operative on the runner structures to selectively limit the range of movement of the cutterbar or to lock it against movement. Elongated skids are connected between adjacent pairs of runners to effectively extend along the length of the header. The skids are mounted to permit individual movement of the runners relative to each other as the cutterbar flexes over uneven ground across the harvesting path. The skids are selectively shiftable by crank pins to vary the cutting height of the cutterbar. The header includes a floor structure having portions mounted for upward pivotal movement to provide access to the crank pins when skid adjustment is desired.The header frame includes vertical end walls. A crop divider is disposed adjacent to each end wall. Each of the dividers is mounted on the respective end runner and also connected to the respective end wall so as to be movable up and down in a relatively constant attitude commensurate with cutterbar movement.
