    Abstract: A fuel injection valve includes: a coil; a stationary core to generate a magnetic force; a movable structure including a moving core and a valve body and internally having a movable flow passage; and a body that internally accommodates the movable structure and internally has a part of the flow passage. The movable structure includes a throttle portion at which a passage area of the movable flow passage is partially throttled. The flow passage includes a throttle flow passage defined by the throttle portion and a separate flow passage between the movable structure and the body. A passage area of the separate flow passage is smaller than a passage area of the throttle flow passage. A position of the separate flow passage in a direction perpendicular to a moving direction of the movable structure is different from an outermost peripheral position of the moving core.

    Abstract: An injection hole body has injection holes to inject fuel. A valve body forms a fuel passage with an inner surface of the injection hole body to communicate with inflow ports of the injection holes. The valve body opens and closes the fuel passage by being seated on and unseated from a seating surface of the injection hole body. An inflow port gap distance is a gap between the valve body and the inflow ports along a center axis of the valve body. An inter-injection hole distance is a distance between inflow ports, which are adjacent to each other, among the inflow ports placed around the center axis. The inter-injection hole distance is smaller than the inflow port gap distance in a state where the valve body is unseated from the seating surface and is at a farthest position in its movable range.

    Abstract: A fuel injection controller includes an increase control portion applying the boost voltage to the coil to increase a coil current to a first target value, and a constant current control portion applying a voltage to the coil to hold the coil current to a second target value. A threshold is an energization time period that is necessary to reach a boundary point between a seat throttle area of a property line and an injection-port throttle area of the property line from an energization start time point. An initial-current applied time period is from the energization start time point that the boost voltage starts to be applied to the coil to a time point that the coil current is decreased to the second target value. The increase control portion controls the coil current such that the initial-current applied time period is less than the threshold.

    Abstract: An injection hole body has multiple injection holes for injecting fuel. A valve body is unseated from and seated on a seating surface of the injection hole body. The injection hole body and the valve body form a specific space therebetween to communicate with inflow ports of the injection holes. A virtual region is surrounded by multiple straight lines. The straight lines connect portions of peripheral edges of the inflow ports, which are closest to a center axis of the valve body in the radial direction. A center volume is formed by extending the virtual region from the injection hole body toward the valve body along the center axis. A total injection hole volume is a total volume of the injection holes. The total injection hole volume is larger than the center volume in a state where the valve body is seated on the seating surface.
