    Abstract: A wireless communication device used in a vehicle is provided, includes a communicator that performs wireless communication with a service provider terminal, a vehicle condition acquirer that acquires a condition of the vehicle, a correspondence storage that stores a correspondence of what type of service is available under what condition of the vehicle, and an availability determiner that determines whether the service provided by the service provider terminal is available under the condition of the vehicle acquired by the vehicle condition acquirer, based on service type information included received by the communicator, the condition of the vehicle acquired by the vehicle condition acquirer, and the correspondence stored in the correspondence storage. When the availability determiner determines that the service is unavailable, the communicator does not open a service channel designated by the service provider terminal.

    Abstract: A communication device includes: a time zone determiner section that identifies a switching point of time of communication time zones based on a clock time and determines whether the communication time zones are switched based on the clock time and the switching point of time; a channel switch section that designates a communication-target channel by switching the communication time zones at the identified switching point of time; a transmission processor section that performs a data transmission using the communication-target channel designated, and prohibits data transmission from being performed for a predetermined transmission prohibition duration time before and after the switching point of time; an error assessor section that assesses an error amount that is a degree of an error of the clock time against the reference clock time; and a transmission prohibition-time adjuster section that increases the transmission prohibition duration time as the error amount increases.

    Abstract: A vehicular communication terminal is provided. A reception strength acquirer acquires a reception strength of a signal transmitted from a service provider terminal. When the vehicle communication terminal receives a signal corresponding to service initiation information from the service provider terminal, a transmission terminal determiner determines whether a transmission source of the signal is the service provider terminal that provides a service targeted for the vehicular communication terminal, based on at least either one of magnitude of the reception strength of the received signal acquired by the reception strength acquirer and a degree of reception strength change in signal received from the service provider terminal serving as a transmission source of the received signal.

    Abstract: In-vehicle units are on host vehicles including a subject vehicle and at least one nearby vehicle.     Abstract: A mobile object communication system includes a mobile object side device, a service provision device performing a short range wireless communication with the mobile object side device to provide a service to the mobile object side device, and a wide area route provision unit performing a wide area communication with the mobile object side device to provide the service having the same contents as the service provided by the service provision device. The mobile object side device can perform both of the short range wireless communication and the wide area communication, and determines whether the short range wireless communication can be performed with the service provision device. When determining that the short range wireless communication cannot be performed, the service having the same contents is provided by performing the wide area communication with the wide area route provision unit.
