Abstract: A control apparatus includes: a control unit that controls torque of a rotating electric machine by performing switching control of an inverter; a temperature sensor that detects a temperature of a temperature detection target which is at least one of the machine and the inverter; and a current sensor that detects electric current flowing through the temperature detection target and has higher responsiveness than the temperature sensor. The control unit includes an overheat protection unit that limits the torque of the machine when the temperature detection target is in an overheated state. The overheat protection unit determines whether the temperature detection target is in the overheated state based on the temperature detected by the temperature sensor when an operating point of the machine is within a continuous operation region, and based on the electric current detected by the current sensor when the operating point is within a short-time operation region.

Abstract: Provided is a vehicle wiper device including (i) a first motor that includes a first output shaft, that rotates the first output shaft to rotate a wiper arm back and forth about a pivot point of the wiper arm, and that causes a wiper blade coupled to a leading end portion of the wiper arm to perform a back and forth wiping operation between an upper return position and a lower return position on a windshield, (ii) a second motor that changes a wiping range on the windshield by the wiper blade, (iii) a rotation angle detector that detects a rotation angle of the first output shaft, and (iv) a controller that controls the second motor according to a rotation angle of the first output shaft detected by the rotation angle detector in a state in which a broad field of view should be secured on a front passenger seat side.

Abstract: A drive apparatus includes an electric motor that has a stator, a rotor and a rotor shaft placed in an inside of a motor housing fixed to an axle. Rotation of the rotor shaft is transmitted to a hub, which is rotatable to the motor housing, through a first speed reducing device and a second speed reducing device. The first speed reducing device is placed on a radially inner side of coil ends of coils wound around the stator. In this way, the coil ends and the first speed reducing device are radially overlapped with each other by using a space located on a radially inner side of the coil ends of the motor.

Abstract: A first driven lever of a vehicle wiper device has a proximal end pivotally connected to a distal end of a first driving lever. A second driven lever has a proximal end pivotally connected to a distal end of the first driven lever and a distal end pivotally connected to a distal end of a second driving lever. A first wiper arm operates integrally with the second driven lever and has a distal end to which a first wiper blade is connected. A swing transmission mechanism transmits a driving force to the first driving lever. The swing transmission mechanism includes a swing crank arm integrally rotatable with a rotation shaft of a single drive source. An extension-contraction transmission mechanism transmits a driving force to the second driving lever. The extension-contraction transmission mechanism includes an extension-contraction crank arm integrally rotatable with the rotation shaft of the drive source.
