    Abstract: A fuel injection system includes a first injection valve, a second injection valve, a communication pipe, and an ECU. The communication pipe makes a second passage of the second injection valve and a back pressure chamber of the first injection valve communicate with each other. The ECU controls an electric actuator of the second injection valve so as to switch first injection control and second injection control according to the required injection amount. In the first injection control, a second valve body is opened for a predetermined time or more so that back pressure lowers to the pressure of opening a first valve body. In the second injection control, the second valve body is opened for less than the predetermined time so that the back pressure does not lower to the pressure of opening the first valve body.

    Abstract: A characteristic determining device is provided which determines fuel injection characteristics of a plurality of fuel injectors for an internal combustion engine. The characteristic determining device includes a pressure sensor and a plurality of pipes each of which connects between the pressure sensor and one of the fuel injectors. The pressure sensor is designed to have a plurality of pressure inputs from the respective fuel injectors through the pipes and outputs a signal indicative of a level of pressure in each of the fuel injectors. The characteristic determining device analyzes the signals from the first pressure sensor to determine the fuel injection characteristics of the respective fuel injectors. These arrangements result in a simplified structure of the characteristic determining device and a decreased manufacturing cost thereof.

    Abstract: A torque control device includes a seal structure sealing a clearance between a hollow object and a rotation shaft. The seal structure includes a particle seal, a liquid seal, an intermediate fluid which fills a middle chamber defined between the particle seal and the liquid seal, and a coating film having a hardness higher than that of magnetic particle.     Abstract: A second rotor and a third rotor are accommodated in a first rotor. A fitting portion of the third rotor is located in an engagement hole of the second rotor to engage the third rotor with the second rotor. The third rotor is rotational about an axis, which is eccentric to an axis of the first rotor, to vary a relative rotational phase of the first rotor to the second rotor and to accelerate and decelerate rotation of the second rotor. When friction arises between the second rotor and the fitting portion, a frictional force acts in a direction to reduce a rotational moment acting on the third rotor. A friction coefficient between the second rotor and the fitting portion is greater than a friction coefficient between ferrous objects.

    Abstract: A gaseous fuel feed apparatus includes a first injector and a second injector which are provided in each cylinder of a gas engine. The first injector injects a gaseous fuel into an intake passage. The second injector injects the gaseous fuel in an injecting direction intersecting with an injecting direction of the gaseous fuel injected by the first injector, such that the gaseous fuel injected by the second injector collides with the gaseous fuel injected by the first injector. Thus, the gaseous fuel injected by the first injector can be forcibly pressed toward a flow of an air by utilizing an injection energy of the gaseous fuel injected by the second injector. Further, the first injector and the second injector may be placed at the same position of the intake passage, and can be placed at a position of the intake passage that is adjacent to a combustion chamber.

    Abstract: In a valve apparatus, a housing includes a plurality of through holes through which a fluid flows. A first valve member opens and closes a first through hole. A second valve member opens and closes at least one second through hole. A fixed core does not move relative to the housing. A coil forms magnetic field. A first movable core moves integrally with the first valve member. When the coil forms the magnetic field, a magnetic attractive force is generated between the first movable core and the fixed core. A second movable core moves integrally with the second valve member. When the coil forms the magnetic field, a magnetic attractive force is generated between the second movable core and the fixed core. A magnetic constriction portion is provided between the fixed core and the first movable core. The second through hole is opened after the first through hole is opened.
