Abstract: A communication device controls a first communication flow performed by a first terminal and a second communication flow performed by a second terminal. Both of the first communication flow and the second communication flow pass through a sharing section, and the second communication flow has a higher priority than a priority of the first communication flow. The communication device acquires a communication delay in the sharing section; acquires a rated delay of the second communication flow, the rated delay is a communication delay allowed to the second communication flow; and limits input of data from the first communication flow and the second communication flow to the sharing section based on a comparison result between the communication delay of the sharing section and the rated delay.

Abstract: In a bandwidth estimation device, a measurement unit measures a measurement time from reception by a receiver of a first packet of a packet train including a plurality of packets that are sequentially transmitted from a transmitter via a communication line to reception by the receiver of a last packet of the packet train, An estimation validity determination unit compares the measurement time with a threshold time predefined based on performance of the receiver or characteristics of the communication line to determine whether a valid estimate of an available bandwidth of the communication line can be made. In response to the estimation validity determination unit determining that a valid estimate of the available bandwidth can be made, an estimation unit estimates the available bandwidth of the communication line based on an amount of data in the packet train and the measurement time.

Abstract: A data collection system includes: a communication terminal in each vehicle having a storage processor storing specific sensing information in a storage device and a vehicle-side communication unit; and a data center including a data center-side communication unit and a data center-side storage. The vehicle-side communication unit sequentially transmits vehicle information including a vehicle position to the data center. The data center-side communication unit transmits a transmission request of object information as the specific sensing information to an object vehicle, which is one of the vehicles approximately at a traveling position specified based on the vehicle position. The vehicle-side communication unit transmits the object information to the data center. When the data center-side communication unit receives the object information from a part of object vehicles, the data center-side communication unit transmits a deletion request for requesting to delete the object information to a remaining part of the object vehicles.
